this video hit really close to home if im being honest as i venture on a path that mimics the same steps you took. i'm lost, i don't really know where i'm going, i often feel like, "man, maybe this just isn't right." but then i remember that it did feel right at one point in time. it's the entire reason as to why i took a break from school, it's behind my motivations to continue to live for myself, ultimately i am moving towards everything that i ever wanted one step at a time, and i often forget why i'm doing what i'm doing and get distracted by negligible thoughts. i guess, like your analogy with the boat, i forget why i got on the boat in the first place and why i continue to sail towards new horizons. idk where i'll end up, i hope it's somewhere amazing of course, but i'll make sure to remember that everything will come together even if it takes a long time. once again, thanks for the video simon :)

I’m 20 trapped in a job I don’t rlly want to do don’t have the money to travel and am socially awkward so don’t have any friends. But your vids inspire me to try and live my life and just do what I want to do. Hopefully when I’ve saved up enough money I can get travelling and live a spontaneous life I’ve always wanted to. as a kid I remember watching DIY videos and thinking to my self "This looks so fun i want to make videos like this". But I was too young at the time and never knew how to start. although I did post a couple random ass videos of me being a zombie and dancing with a friend. they're so embarrassing 😭But after posting those videos I knew KZfaq is what I wanted to pursue. Anyways over the years My interest in what i wanted to make my videos about changed every year or so. From DIY videos to making videos of my pets to me just playing Minecraft. Now that I am in my 20s I've realized that for the past 3 years now, the thought of vlogging has never left my mind. And I think that this year, I will finally start uploading like how i always wanted to as a kid :) I'm a complete beginner with filming and I am SO camera shy (and shy in general), but I'll try my best. Especially because I don't want to work for the rest of my life 😭. Just subbed man. Your videos look so great and already give me so much inspiration. The friend group you guys have is beyond amazing and that's something I've been dreaming to have. 8:19 REAL TALK, logically and from a story perspective it’s so easy to spin the narrative towards your passions and skills, but sometimes it’s really hard to find motivation on an emotional level when trying to connect to your “purpose”. I think that’s where friends come in :) We are intrinsically community and relationship seeking creatures. we live for our purpose, but we stay alive for the people we love (my take).
