I want to give you an internet hug and tell you how impressive the life you've put together is. OF might not be my jam (as a consumer or producer), but it doesn't do anything to color my view of you or any of your other work. As long as a job doesn't hurt anyone, is enjoyable and earns you enough to pay the bills / fund the other important projects in your life, it's a good job. I'll always be grateful that I came across your content right at the beginning of my transition (watching you and Finn stream together helped crack my egg by showing me examples of happy and healthy trans and gnc people) and right now I'm a big fan of your work on fashion, trans advocacy and art. Excited to see what you do next!

I dislike the phrase "selling your body". That is not what is happening. You still have your body. You sold your work, your time depending on your job maybe your health and sanity. But you did not really sell your body after all. And selling pictures and videos, is really far away from selling your body.
@liamvt2
@liamvt2 6 ай бұрын
@@HiltownJoe In many jobs you don't just sell your labour but also your principles, and even in a way your body. Much physical work is way worse for your health while Icky's job is basically reliant on staying fit and healthy in a way. Which can like bring their own issues with it but yeah, i've certainly felt sometimes that my desk job is destroying my body before. In that way you do sell it. Because you need to spend more energy the rest of the day when not at work to stay in shape unpaid because of it. Or like very physical work might be really taxing on the body too. Honestly you're totally right. From a certain perspective that job is allowing her more ownership over her body than a lot of others.

It is very different. Selling porn, sex, these are inherently exploitative. The people paying for onlyfans content aren't receiving anything, their need is simply social. It was fun and I got paid a lot back then £200 a shoot - travel - 20% agent etc - the upside I have fun memories and a wardrobe still full of very expensive swimwear with some now classed as collector's items!

Sex work is inferior to many other forms of work. The reasons for that are as follows: - Well, it exposes you to more danger for one. It also exposes you to social denigration as well. - It also implies that you are less skilled then manual labourers (who are already often treated as replaceable). - It implies that you're only value is in your sexual assets. - It also makes you look like a hypocrite, given that you probably argue that women shouldn't be sexualised and that the male gaze is denigrating, while you at the same time profit from male sexual attention. - And then there's the extra danger and disgust you face as a transperson doing sex work, as people realise that you are not a real woman, that you have likely not been upfront and honest about your real gender (due to transgender delusions and confusion regarding their gender/sex), and that in some cases (like with trans prostitutes) you have essentially se****ly assaulted someone by having interc****e with them without being honest about who/what you really are. And on top of all that, the idea that sex work is something which should be normalised, celebrated or even encouraged shows how backwards the trans movement is in their reasoning and morals. Having to resort to sew work essentially shows you do not have what it takes to provide value to the competitive marketplace, so your only value is in something that you as a real woman didn't earn (your body). And then there's fake women (transwomen) who have to go a step further and actually pay money in order to be an counterfeit version of a woman, to try to also earn money for something that women didn't earn; essentially adding another layer of failure onto the endeavour of sex work as it is. kzfaq.infoMmT_d677Y1Q Do sex workers offer value in a relationship? Sadly, a lot of trans people end up resorting to sex work because their faulty grip on reality, inability to accept their own real identity, multiple mental illnesses, and potential history of abuse all lead them to be less emotionally and psychologically stable individuals who often cannot hold down a regular job. These days, rather then treating people's mental illnesses, we've instead moved towards enabling their coping mechanisms, instabilities and symptoms.

When I came out way back in the early 2000's (02-03) I lost my job because of perceptions of the "new me". Finding a job while out was extremely difficult back then and so I turned to the same sort of things. Of course there was no such thing as OF then, but I ran a "personal" website and did a lot of stuff on video chats through messenger apps. Perhaps today the world is more accepting of us, or perhaps they will be in the near future, but I, for one, do not judge you for content which I have not actually seen, nor would I ever judge for NSFW content. I respect you and what you are doing now. I wish this had been available to me 20 years ago. I wish the world were more accepting of all sorts of people, including trans people. It’s so weird how much we judge people who do porn. 58% of Americans self report to watching porn, and likely the real number is even higher. Porn, sex work, only fans, etc. is just as valid as a job as anything else.

I took so long before watching this video, I don't really know why, although the videos I've most enjoyed of NSFW artists are the ones where they simply discuss their job. It's so important for you and NSFW content creators to be able to talk about it. It's about making that part of the universe safer and more understandable. Good luck to you all!

If you find you need to stop or change the content on any of your platforms, not necessarily OF, and it puts you in a rough position, just say and I'm certain you'll have tonnes of support! I love that after getting the inevitable chasers and thirst messages you were like...there's a market here, and I'm going to exploit it on my own terms :3 The boundaries/vulnerability thing is quite interesting actually. I subbed to Finn's OF recently...first time I'd ever used that platform. Have been watching his KZfaq vids for a couple years but I haven't actually joined one of his live streams yet. But even from just the KZfaq vids, Finn's got such a friendly and approachable vibe that it's almost like chilling with a friend (same with your content too). So I'm actually quite happy that his OF has that more naughty yet artistic vibe. It's hotter in some situations not to show every last inch of your body and leave that last little bit to the imagination. I think the way Finn is doing his OF is perfect...ass-y but still classy xD I feel the same kind of way about what you said about people being able to get stuff for free. I think once you get to know a creator more and see their personality, which is more the case with those that do KZfaq and streaming in addition to NSFW stuff, it would feel like stealing directly from them to try and find their paid content for free. Whereas just watching a porn video that's been ripped and uploaded to some random tube site doesn't feel the same way as there isn't that same connection with the creator.

I never did it for money, mostly Internet karma but I was definitely around in communities where there would be a lot of trans women posting their bodies or live streaming and I would see it and it'd be totally normal to then jump in a Discord call with people who I'd seen naked and be friends with and it wasn't awkward. I miss that as a full on loner nowadays, not interacting on social media or on forums, except maybe YT and TikTok comment sections but I don't have notifications on for replies on YT anyway. It feels weird that there could be some part of the internet sharing very personal photos of me and I would have no idea, I'm over it. Unless it comes back to affect my job or something in future then I'll be upset of course.

Some of the more outré creators I know keep having their content deleted on OF, so I wonder whether platforms like Fansly, Just for Fans, or Darkfans might be just strictly better, or whether there are tradeoffs or whether you should just crosspost everything.

As a former sex worker, thank you for making this video Icky. I’m very lucky in which my time in the industry brought immense positive change to my life and was the catalyst and sole reason I could pursue my career in the arts. Honestly, the biggest struggle I faced was the massive amount of societal shame that surrounds being in the industry; even though I’ve been very open about it publicly in my art and every single person in my life knows about my time in the field, it still is immensely nerve wracking to reveal this fact to others who exist outside this bubble. But, I found that me using my platform to speak about my experiences lead to many people who did not have the privilege to be open about their existence in the industry to confide in me. Being so open and candid about SW is both brave and important. It helps people who see us as a derogatory trope as who we are; fellow human beings finding a way to survive in this world that works best for our lives.

I've honestly always had a lot of respect for trans people who are comfortable enough in their own skin to do adult content. I'm going on 4 years in transition now, had some of the surgeries, and im still generally pretty uncomfortable in my body. I've had partners tell me I have a beautiful body, heck I've even had partners say I should consider doing adult content for extra income, but I still have such a hard time being comfortable in my own skin as a trans person, so I've always admired trans people who have managed to come to a place where they have that level of comfort and confidence in themselves.

Honoustly This is exactly why i wouldn't ever be able to come out. I'm in construction and all my experience is in construction. I run my own business and I'm doing oky. Nog fantastic but i manage to make an living. If I'd ever come out my current life won't be accepting to a new one. Even though i knew from young financial decisions were my first priority. But it does eat you alive. My Gf knows but if it wasn't for cross dressing and me being open an honoust about it to myself i don't know how I'd stay sane. It took me forever to realize. Then i realized what was off. But i had signs from the age of 5 about somewhere. The big problem with this is I'm straight and if you don't get the exposure you never really know what's off. Especially if if you're a 90's kid. Certain areas of the world are worse than others. Like now i see alot of the younger generation embrace what they like and thats a good for your health but it does take an toll on your life whether you know it or not. In your case OF. I'm no supporter of OF but i really do appreciate your KZfaq content. Both yours and Finn's.

hi icky i found your social media and sfw content before i knew about the "other job" and i just wanted to say the situation you are in is cool to me, to be able to comfortably live and achieve goals that you have always wanted while being financially stable doing nsfw stuff out of choice i think is a very cool spot and i hate that people look down on any adult work at all. i think the industry is like toxic asf and a lot of people are forced or pushed into it but in your case i wish more people would see it in a better light. slightly off topic ig u kinda mentioned it but the fetish/chaser content in the nsfw space do you think its best to turn a bad thing into positive stuff and allow you to empower yourself or do you avoid playing into these like "trap" or transgirls who almost are forced to do fetish content because its such a big market.
