Happy Thursday everyone,
So this weeks video covers my endometriosis/ pcos journey over the past six months after a very bad flare up in symptoms. I hope if you are feeling the same that this gives you some support either in knowing you're not alone but also with knowing a different route to look down!
The previous video covering my initial journey: • MY PCOS AND ENDOMETRIO...
The Online Menopause Centre: onlinemenopaus...
If anyone has any other questions feel free to comment, I'm happy to answer! Thank you,
Holly x

I was initially told I have PCOS, then they confirmed it is endometriosis. There are good days and bad days. I'm trying to do what's within my power and live and eat more holistically and mindfully while I wait for my surgery 🙏🏽

Holly I've been going through this exact same thing for the last two years. It's so isolating and mentally draining. Thank you so much for making this video because it's so comforting to see someone else going through the same experience. I'm definitely going to push for some hormonal blood tests after watching this!

Holly, honestly thank you girl for putting this video out there. I currently have Stage 4 endometriosis & i have 4 cysts at this moment in time. I had open-stomach surgery last year in July and am currently waiting to see a specialist surgeon who will be able to do my second surgery this year. I am a 21 year old women & the fact i have such bad endo has honestly changed my life. I am a shell of who i used to be🥺 Thank you for telling your story and putting the word out there. Not enough awareness is out there & we need to do more & that is my goal for this year. Thank you again & i look forward to seeing your journey and seeing how the treatment works for you❤️

Thankyou for sharing your journey holly as I was diagnosed with PCOS a couple of years ago and I was crying and felt alone and frustrated and didn't know anyone else suffering like I was. I remember having my internal scan on a full bladder and I nearly weed myself 😂 when they had finished I ran to the toilet. I'm so happy that your getting the right help and understanding your symptoms a bit more

Hey! Well done for speaking up about it. I’m a nutritional therapist and I have PCOS. I can relate! For anyone struggling, I’d highly highly recommend finding a PCOS or Endo nutritional therapist. With both of these conditions, it’s key to get to your root cause. Everyone’s is different. This way you can find what’s driving your symptoms and causing them to keep returning. Whether it’s the excess androgen hormones or insulin resistance with PCOS, or recurrent Endo cells growing outside the uterus. The frustrating part about surgery is that it might remove the cells at that point in time. But it won’t stop it happening again 😢 There are things you can do with your nutrition and lifestyle to help ❤️ You’ve got this! And to anyone else out there struggling, you’ve got this ❤ There are lots of free PCOS and Endo communities on Facebook you could try to join and ask others for advice. You’re not alone 😘

Thank you for bringing awareness. Currently going through the pain and GP just refers painkillers. But I know I have it because the pain is just abnormal, I know my body. I have a few of the symptoms incl painful sex.

I'm currently 3 weeks post laparoscopy. I'm so glad others are so vocal about endometriosis and it inspired me to make a video too. And thank you so much for sharing the non-surgical options. This is something I'm currently reading a lot about rn. I have a question for you though... how did you find coming back to training? I'm a triathlete and I can barely find anything on KZfaq and instagram about returning to training!

In Germany, it is common for women to visit a specialized doctor one to two times a year just to get everything checked. All women in my family have endometriosis, and i am really relieved that I am (and all other women are) getting a free ultrasound from the inside two times a year. Not all, but most of the things these doctors are doing are paid by our health insurance. Wishing you just the best for your journey ❤️

You’re right, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Ovarian Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.

I have all the symptoms of endometriosis but the surgery showed no sign of it:( and ultrasound scans haven’t shown pcos. Does anyone know what else it could be? I just want an answer I’m struggling so so much 🥲❤️

I have PCOS, endometriosis but also something called pelvic congestion syndrome (swollen blood vessels essentially) so a possibility perhaps? But they did pick mine up during laparoscopy. Hope you get answers soon, it’s so frustrating xx

@@vickielouisefit thank you for responding. Yeah it’s so frustrating I waited years for the surgery just to be told there’s no sign of endo when I was told for years I most likely have it and everyone was surprised there was no sign of it. Of course I don’t want it no one does but I felt like I was grieving over not having any answers. Thank you for responding I hope you are feeling okay❤️xx

@@emmawing340 I would also try and push for another lap, I’ve heard of a few cases where it wasn’t there on the first lap but was found later, and push for them to explore other possibilities. I know what you’re saying though - sometimes you just need answers whatever the answer may be! I’ve been having loads of pain on the right side of my abdomen and sometimes swelling too, GP sent me for another transvaginal ultrasound as he was worried it was a larger cyst. Had that on Friday, still lots and lots of little cysts like we knew but no large cyst. Of course a relief in one way, but now I feel lost because I don’t have an answer. It’s been months. Hope you get sorted sooner rather than later ❤️
