Everything you said is true. I have a twenty thirteen and I keep up on it but you're right about everything.

That is a Big Grocery List... Suppose I should try and Chip away at it as best I can. 2014 2.4L Ecotec. Hopefully just switching to using Valvoline Restore and Protect (though it isn't yet a Dexos rated Oil) will be helpful. (Even though it has regularly had Interval Changes between 3-5K miles using Dexos1 Full Synthetics til now). Don't have Oil Consumption, but plenty of Fuel/Oil Dilution so probably should address the Fuel System/Intake Valve Cleaning along with the Carbon Deposit Removal (via Restore & Protect)

That will help the issue but not stop/fix it. Those all need to be done, however you also need to pull the plugs, fill each one with half a can of Seafoam. Turn the motor over without spark plugs in. Then add aftermarket oil fill cap, add a pcv vale on top of it and send a hose from the pcv & intake manifold to a catch can.

Nothing this guy said about the timing chain was accurate to say the least.

If he's pouring all that oil into it every week he might as well do the oil changes more often!

Wont help… then all the sludge from the burnt oil creates so much pressure that you blow the rear main seal and lose all the oil as your driving and end up w a locked up motor

@@coleproctor7995 that's why you change the oil so the sludge comes out LMAO

So are we just going to sweep GM using the wrong oil piston ring under the carpet? Why are you not addressing that?
