Yes. I would recommend any Fiddlerman violin over a Stentor or Cecilio/Mendini and most other brands in fact.

I do in some other videos that Im working on at the moment, but it does play well up there. To be honest, if one is playing this far up the fingerboard and is therefore that advanced, I would recommend getting something that matches that skill level. It isn't really the problem as you put it, that cheaper violins don't play well further up the fingerboard, but that they are not designed to do so as one would be upgrading long before that - so I wouldn't expect a violin of this level to be able to play well in the higher positions anyway. Thats not the point of them or what they are there for. If you want that, you need to pay more money for a better instrument really that goes with the skill level of the player. Dont try to squeeze advance techniques out of an entry level violin.

You sound as if you can play the violin , so why are you wanting to buy a cheap entry level one

@@geo752 i will be honest. I started my violin journey in a different country and there i bought affordable violin begginer that was able to perform very nice in all positions. ( that was my teacher recommendation) I later decide to move to the states and i gave my violin to a poor child who couldn't afford to buy one. So now im in the states and i bought a 220$ violin that i expected would respond the same way my original one did. I was naive and made a mistake. Now i understand that it might be different experience depending on a country. I cant afford a violin that is expensive so i was just hoping i can find affordable one that plays well overall. I guess i just have to be grateful for what I do have.

I would always recommend Fiddlerman violins over Cecilio violins. Cecilios are very basic violins.

I love the Fiddlerman violins. They cost just a bit more, but you get much better accessories AND a proper set-up. I also have a couple of Cecilio's. The set-up on those when you get them are really hit or miss, and the accessories aren't very good (sometimes even unusable). BTW, Cecilio's CVAs are violas; their CVNs are the violins.

The Fiddlerman organised it his end - I had nothing to do with that part of it so I dont know im afraid. Having said that, if you can wait a couple weeks or so, these will be up for sale in my shop. I have 1 of each to sell (the ones Im reviewing), and it will be first come first served to my UK audience only. I will make an announcement on my channel when they are going up...
