This is how leftists think. They don't understand the economics of running a profitable business. People don't get paid more and work more because their employers are greedy as far as they're concerned. They don't understand why everyone can't make at least $60 k a year and work 32 hours a week.
@ewokchicken4209
@ewokchicken4209 2 жыл бұрын
Lmfao hey anybody ever heard of business overhaul. All of theses ideas would work great especially if employees are kept on a Kelly shift system. And if you really believe this can’t be don’t then evaluate the capabilities for you to lead HUMANS not animals. Ppl with disagreeing with this video need to back out of a power position. Also livable wage should be a actually thing like minimum wage if damn near impossible to live off.

1. If you’re planning to start a business, this might not be achievable in the beginning (my dad is starting a company so I asked him) 2. Livable wage might be hard to pay all your employees but not impossible. 3. FULLY AGREE 4. Make sure you don’t spend too much but work parties are really fun. My dad takes me and my sister along with him. 5. FULLY AGREE 6. YOUR CHOICE

I swear that people who don't question those takes at all in the comments are children. It sounds awesome but too good to be true. Workers can take advantage of the period leave for a day off. Five days a week sounds more realistic than four days although I wished we worked for four days. Also, every young adult can have an utopian idea of their business but it doesn't guarantee they will be able to stick to it when the money starts coming in or if they're losing money.
@alishakhan8926
@alishakhan8926 2 жыл бұрын
@@NadezdaBeka it's evident this is targeted towards an audience which comprises children. I know nothing about a business but even I realise what she said or aspires about is impossible for someone who's just venturing into a business or has one which isn't earning a lot of money. I couldn't help but laugh out loud, many of these points are so impractical. Maybe some of her points were said in naivete or maybe she knows how to capture her audience?
@NadezdaBeka
@NadezdaBeka 2 жыл бұрын
@@alishakhan8926 Okay, now I see that many comments have our points unlike when the video was new. I think the same, also it's her age. She's not a grown adult just because she's legal. I also know the bare minimum about business and I feel like she was pandering to children since she never stated what her business will be about but rather what people want to hear. What made her think her business is going to successful enough to be able to afford employees at all let alone pay them a lot and to be able to throw 'the best' business parties? A pink office? Seriously? An office looking like a living room with plants and cushions is more homey than bright colors UwU so aesthetic. She should've added that employees get free Starbucks and catering everyday since it's unrealistic enough.

As someone who is in business and has planned for being “a boss” I can say: 1. Depending on your business, you do not get much say in the rules.Often partners, employees and a board of directors has more say than you. Alternative: You’ll make less but staying a smaller business and keeping it local mitigates external input. 2. This will cause your business to go into the red not only are you cutting productivity you’re bottling different types of people into four days only whereas they might need a grace day between work etc. Alternative: allow for 5-7 day work weeks with a hourly work week. I intend to have a maximum amount of hours and employees can fill them up whenever they choose. Day or night any day of the week. Overtime is optional and we’ll paid but not encouraged to save on expenses. 3. Pink is not a workable color for a work environment. At least not entirely. Alternative: pastels particularly in blue and green. Psychologically these colors promote focus and calm minds and pastels keep it less distracting. 4. People don’t like work parties as much as it seems. They only show up to show that they care to their boss and it’s just as much as an obligation. Alternative: promote casual hang outs between and after work. This may allow you to come off as approachable since you want to hang out with your employees. And it helps relationships between coworkers. It also mitigates the formality of work events. Edit: the goal is not to make people like you or make people love their jobs. The goal is to make your business last. And having a healthy work life balance and productive work space does that. People will never love working. If they did they wouldn’t be working. But the least a business owner can do is make people feel like they’re job is worth the while.

That's how every business on the planet should be done. And as she says in the video, livable wage. If you make people work a lot just to get a minimum wage that allows them to only pay rent/food/bills, their life will be shit and they will not be productive. Modern slaves are not productive and thanks god people after the pandemic stopped settling for underpaid jobs and shitty work conditions.

I love the mentality an absolutely yes yes yes to treating our employees like humans. But you also have to ready to not always be able to give your employees this amount of understanding. There might not always be downtime in the budget. And skipping work a couple times a week (especially when your work week is only four days) will out everyone and everything behind in a lot of cases. Its not like in school when your work only affects you. If you skip work, that's work someone else has to do, or work you have to make up for. And if you're out of work for two our of your four work days, you're going to be way behind. Missing one day even might screw you over. You only have two-three days to catch back up on everything you missed and you also have to finish the work load you already have. Work is work. Its not always going to be pleasant.

Bro you wouldn't be able to sustain that way I know what it's like trying to start a company from a scratch you hate Making your employees or co-workers work extremely hard 7 days a week but you know you can't do that. You need to make them give their best and so do you , you barely can take rest. It isn't as easy as it seems 😔. Until your company grows to like multi-million dollar market it's really practically impossible to work that way

4 day working sounds amazing! My mom works from 9:00am-11:00pm everyday and works 2 jobs so this would be nice.

Love the 4 day work week. They still do this in some countries. However, that means that work days will have to be longer than 8 hours so your employees are getting 40hrs or part-timers are making enough to live. Lol as a manager myself, shit can get rough with the cost of living constantly inflating :( You gotta take into account the amount of taxes the government takes off of each cheque. The more you make, the more taxes they take.

The extra day would allow for more operations & profit, especially if you’re having to pay a higher wage. If you alternate shifts so that you can stay opened on the weekends that may help! These are all great, it’d all come down to costs and profitability though!

As a person who helps run a family business you may have to start paying minimum wage because it takes a lot of money to run a business you have fees, bills, taxes, etc. We are stable now to where we can pay more than minimum wage. When your business starts out depending what field you are going on you might have to work 5 or 6 days and put people on call.

No you actually have to take home a little less yourself snd then when things pick up, you can take hone more yourself but not from the very beginning while you pay everyone else a poverty wage. To put things into perspective, if minimum wage actually kept up with the cost of living, minimum wage would be almost $28/hr. If you can’t afford to pay your employee a living wage, then you have no business starting a business. Point. Blank. Period. Don’t abuse people for your own gain.

@@nawakaida7499 so the business owner should go broke? Either not be able to pay the rent/mortgage for the building resulting in the business being shut down and everyone becoming unemployed? Not to mention most first time business owners have their homes as collateral against any loans they take to start that business. So what you're really saying here is that you think business owners should be homeless on the streets so you can make more money? Hah you'd be right their beside them. Honestly if you think a new first time family business owner is making a living wage, let alone minimum wage, themselves you are possibly the most stupid person I have met in my life.
