She had no idea of her being the cause of her son lying which is why she came to the show otherwise she wouldn't want to be humiliated by her own family in front of the whole nation.. try thinking logically instead of hating on her, she's a human, there are things not everyone understands.

Ella Mae the mom was biting her lips and glaring at him whenever her son talks too 😑 like she was ready to hit him but they're far apart. I can't imagine what could happen when they come home after this show

right...i was really worried and scared for him. his mental state must not be very healthy with all this fear and anxiety.

@@vion7246 i'm asian but this is wrong for sure, lying isn't good but he's a kid. Kids and even adults lie. Everyone lies. The problem is that the way the mom punishes him does effect him. It makes him lie as a habit. Also, what kind of normal mom says to their other children, "wouldn't it be great if it was just the two of you?" That's messed up.

@@vion7246 No its not. You dont see that he learnt lying, because of the CRAZY caning. 30 times! Its traumatizing. It happened when he was very little and not just now and it keeps happening. Imagine living in FEAR of when she will scream shout manipulate and The punishment should match the crime and parents after punishing the child should always sympathize and comfort the child, say that they did so for the child and no matter they love the child. MY BOYFRIEND IS COMPLETELY TRAUMATIZED FROM HIS CHILDHOOD. This slick woman reminds me of his mother. She blames me for her problems now and I literally always told him not to lie and always be nice. She beat him up, a 26 year old adult, with shoes belts hangers etc for two days straight and grounded him, confined him, and took his communication away, gave him silent treatment, made him eat alone , no one talk to him etc. until he turned into and emotionless corpse. It took me a month to return him to half of what he used to be. When she thought she had broken him and controlled him, he decided to act just as angry and scary back at her. He didnt do this in the FIRST place because he was so NUMB for days on end. Just like the guy in the video, he learned to become emotionally manipulative in nature. Once he processed his feelings he went berserk on her and got his life back. Do you wanna know WHY ? Cause I called the house when SHE was suspected of having COVID, when SHE was sick and tried to HELP HIM TAKE CARE OF HER. She didnt appreciate how much I cared, how well he listened to me, and she LOST it. She tried to manipulate him by popping pills, he had to pick all of it out of her mouth, all 12 of them. I called again and said please I dont care if you swear at or shout at me, lets please TALK this out. She announced in a lilting patronizing voice that she was kicking her son out and "You two are on your own now". She didnt realise that we are both adults with adult friends and jobs. she was probably a loser at my age. She married at 18 to an absolute uneducated ass. She didnt know much about life then, and thought we are the same. When I tried to talk, it didnt help, and to prevent a physical fight, I sent someone over.Its COVID, no shelter, nothing is open, and the weather was too bad. They kicked him out without his phone his cards and his wallet. SHE LEFT HIM TO DIE. When they found that he got help and was capable of living on his own, they confined and abused him instead. THIS ISNT DISCIPLINE, ITS CALLED BEING A CRAZY CONTROL FREAK WHO DOESNT CARE HOW SHE GETS HER WAY.

I've noticed the same thing, he is nervous and seems to have anxiety it's so upsetting.

i had a friend like that.. he got a super good score on the psat and sat and even got the scholarship but the problem was that he didn’t get a perfect score. In the act he got above 53 (on 60) and got many medals for science and math but he didn’t get all so his mom threw all his stuff out in the freezing cold and burnt all of his diaries albums etc and he now is in Harvard.. but it was super hard for him i remember when he came to my house crying his soul out. In Korea it’s a huge thing kicking kids out

@@norastifler How are the kids obviously at fault though? Just look at Jimin. He's obviously very scared of his mother. And on top of being scared, she verbally abuses him and kicks him out of the house in the winter time. She even went as far as to ask to cut ties with him. You can't help but understand why the child would lie to his mom. Im not saying that Jimin isn't also at fault, but you can't possibly say that the kids and husband are obviously in the wrong here when the mother is also a HUGE problem.

I used to get beaten by the belt, kneel on grains for hours until I get bruises, and get things thrown at me ever since I could remember. The only time it stopped was when my teacher found out about the abuse and threatened my father of child authorities. Asian parents do go really far and parents do not have to be Asian to do those things. Abuse comes in many forms

I think some asiana parents take it very far and when u confront them abt it,they will just say that's "this is the Asian style of disciplining children" which is such a stupid excuse!! Because they might get sued. Reputation is very precious in SK society. That's why if you have a criminal in the family, you get shunned. Being the child of a criminal is like a death sentence.

IKR I’m actually so mad he should be the one sitting on that concern seat how can they ignore her abusing him physically and worse mentally we can heal physically but mentally there will always be scar a reminder what he has been through when he gets older she may change her behaviour but I’m sorry women the damage is already done and he got the permanent scar the host should enlighten her about abuse how it can affect anyone and how can it can damage a person especially a child?? In most Asian countries, caning is a normal and acceptable form of disciplining children (but not all). Westerners will be quick to shout "abuse!", but I think it's a cultural thing... Unfortunately, thus the line between "discipline" and "abuse" is blurry...

She did talk about changing herself though. She said she wouldn't use corporal punishment on him anymore, just discipline involving removing privileges.

She is a toxic mother. But I think she realuzed her mistake... That's probably why she talked about that and why she cried.

The worst thing a mom can say to her child is that she prefers her other children 😢😢 poor boy all he wanted was his mom's warmth ,love and compliments.. usually when a teacher compliments we just feel happy, but when our mom compliments we get really happy and boost our confidence to do more!!

I’m black and I have been beaten with switches,shoes, belts,and etc. And I never said it was ONLY black kids but the majority of black kids do go through it. I understand that other races get beaten with stuff to. I never said anyone else didn’t
