In this video I cover how I train, favorite movements, key insights to get better results & what role cardio plays in my training.
General summary of my current physical training in 2024👇
Muscle is the motive & Longevity is the intention (I want to be around in the best way for a long time) I train on average 4-5x a week, ~45 minutes a session with minimal rest between sets. I focus on compound movements & lifting heavy with weights. If there's a body part I train the most, it's legs (your biggest muscles are in your legs).

I'm 74 and work out at home with bands now because gyms are too expensive. So, this video of yours is mostly working out, so you are one of my workout buddies. It would be great if you could do more pure workout videos, and display your most effective exercises. At least 10 minutes + long. Keep up with the Bible, your moral compass. In that is true joy in life.

Great vid my man. One of the comments that you made in your last video was we are mostly made of water.. and when water sits still, things don't go well. (that resonated with me big time) So as you encourage us with the message of consistent movement trough out day is KEY - I love how you get your cardio in by incorporating Fam Pruett and connecting to nature/God , the universal source. I enjoyed watching your daily workout! You’re what all of us guy’s look for! All I want is to look lean’ and hopefully muscular! I’m not worried about getting shredded! Just lean with some muscle! I’ll be 56 in June! I fast and do some carbs! High protein! Egg whites with eggs! Fruit smoothie and protein powder!

After watching your videos I'm gonna get moving again and get back in shape, I'm 66 and I'm familiar with training but haven't done much in years, now I'm going to change that. Love the content!! Your approach on fitness is awesome! I’m still a little confused on your split. are you doing like a full body style with an emphasis on push/pull/lower or are you doing strictly lower and then upper then taking a break?

Yeah it’s 90% focused on either upper or lower. For example, even leg days I’ll always do shoulder raises. Or upper days I’ll do goblet squats or walking lunges etc.

Most definitely, brother!! Thank you for the watch and comment 🤟 Yes I do superset a lot of my workouts. Maybe not with Deadlifts or squats, heavier stuff like that I'll focus on reps 3-6 heavy. But everything else I love it.

As for the supersets. Couldn’t agree more. Was just intrigued to see how you structure your workouts but we are very similar in our methods for sure. Stick to compounds , keep it simple and lift with progression overload only when the form is dialled in! Always like to superset my push/pull time efficiency and great pump. Compounds tend to go on higher side 6-8 but no wonder you’re so jacked! Consistency and years working out ain’t no short cut! Just turning up on the days that you don’t want to and keep crushing it! There’s no such thing as a bad workout. Thanks for sharing bro 🤟🤟🤟🤟amen

Heavier and less reps. But usually I always start out at 8-10 reps let’s say. But eventually I focus in on 4-6 reps or less heavy

Awesome video! Have you ever had lower back pain and if so, how did you train around it? I used to deadlift and miss it.

I would avoid things that cause sharp / acute pain for sure. Then I highly recommend core training exercise, such as planking, leg raises and hanging knee and leg raises. Also bird dogs. Basically lower back pain is usually most attributed to tight hamstrings and/or lack of strength and stability. I hope this helps. 👊

Yes exactly 🤟 :30-:45 rest pretty much 👊 I typically will do 4-6 sets and go heavy 4-6 reps after an initial light set 8-10

2nd vid of yours I've watched today. Gotta admit, your physique looks intimidating & impossible. But this is the message I'm responding to: That real results are possible without gym-rat insanity. I know that lifestyle is not available to me pragmatically or psychologically ... which is why I'm keying on the message I've heard so far in both vids I've seen. It's helping me decide that while perfect will never happen, something much better COULD.

Is body recomp a real thing? I’m 6’2 , male 185 and thin with little muscle. Can I stay the same weight and become hard and cut. I figure you give an honest opinion compared to other content creators.

I wouldn’t worry about whether you stay the same weight or not. If you don’t have much body fat to shed then strength training, lifting heavy’s weight 4x a week should be your priority. Hitting protein goal daily as well. It takes long time to build big muscles but the shedding fat is a bit easier.
