This situation stems from an outdated law that may not adequately address contemporary circumstances. In response, there are discussions about introducing a legal amendment to address this issue. One thing i didn't understood, why these youngsters need sex before the age of 18 ? These all are because of the shits they are watching and their idols. Loving someone doesn't mean that they should have sexual relationship at all. Its ruining our culture, our beliefs and every pure aspect of love. Why are we including sex as basic needs ?? Is it really that important as air, water, food and shelter ?? not, obviously not. So grow up children(both male and female), you first change yourself, society will gradually get changed.

No! If SEX wasn't necessary as air water, you wouldn't be here. The long ass history of 600 thousand years shows sex was needed. You were born out of sex, get your knowledge straight. Sex is a basic need, also, sex is defined by love. Love generally means the involvement of lust and attraction hormones. Having testrone results in physic needs, oegostrn result in emotional connection. Which in simple words means, male seek physical and woman seek emotional connection, it's called hormone reaction. Love is defined by lust and attraction, so, I don't understand your point on “ Pure ” Rather than knowledge, I believe your comment is pure “opinion" .

Love means component of 2 hormones attraction and lust nothing else. And looking historically, the age of consent was around 12. Some of the deep philosophy even suggest rape is privilege isn't it? in today’s generation…teenagers are sexually active (16-18)…even if both are under 18, the guy will be declared as rapist by the law but not the girl. How is this fair? Sexual intercourse or conduct should only be inside marriage within partner not outside marriage , is found cohabiting those cuplirts should be imprisoned. Dowry is illegal so does alimony need to be illegal. Having single partner is healthy, multiple partners leads to STIs STDs , HIV/AIDs and VD.

It's very frustrating to see people saying that these days, relationships start from 12 yrs of age. Are these people nuts? It's so wrong to accept such things as normal. Educate your family and children. Age appropriate sex education should be provided starting from grade 5. Relationships are not just sex. One needs to be more mindful and responsible when it comes to relationships and sex. It's just that it's not only girls that can be victims but even boys. Both genders should be considered while making law. But not to forget how girls are physically different and more vulnerable. Sex with consent also impacts girls more. They need more support. So, if a boy is not ready to provide the support she needs, he better keep his hands off the girl. So, boys and girls better not think of sex until they are over the age of 18.

And, taking marriage as a license to do as you choose to your partner even against their will is another wrong mentality quite common in our society. In any case, both parties should talk, agree, and be ready for the consequences.
