Nachos, all day! My favorite place has Deluxe Nachos. Chips, refried beans, rice, shredded cheese, you choice of meat, salsa fresca, sour cream, guacamole. In that order and for a dollar extra I get nacho cheese on top. And then I go to the gym 🤣🤣

I love fries...to fry them to crispy perfection and then make them soggy with chili. Nope, if I'm treating myself to fries, I went them crispy. So, nachos (even though I haven't had them in yrs. They don't know how to make them where I live)

Anybody who’s been to Cedar Point on a hot summer day and ordered the Chili Cheese Fries will relate. I am permanently scarred and will no be able to trust my intestinal fortitude when it comes to chili cheese fries. That said, nachos win by default.

I love both, but I LOVE potatoes. Chili & cheese fries ftw. Chili/cheese is full of seasoning. And my toppings? Gotta have onions and occasionally a condiment like ranch, ketchup, or mustard on the side. Idc which fries, regular, seasoned, crinkle cut, waffle, let's get it! 🔥🔥🔥

As a Mexican i was team nachos, but i have never even thought of a waffle chili cheese fry. My life is incomplete. This is croissant vs bagel all over again. Chili cheese fries fill me up heavy but enough nachos can as well. Gotta try the waffle fry, its going to haunt me until i do

I find this to be a fundamentally flawed comparison: nachos can be made with the super nasty Costco tub o' nacho cheese sauce, or it can be the nachos con bistec ranchero that you get at a hole-in-the-wall taqueria, but chili cheese fries have no cultural alternatives (mebbe poutine). If anything, compare chili cheese fries to poutine, or nachos to french fries, or tacos to hot dogs. I honestly can't make a judgment, since I've been to dozens of taquerias, fast food restaurants, and high class restaurants that sell nachos in various forms (easily the weirdest one is our poke nachos in Hawaii), but I've never been to a restaurant that specialized in just chili (Zippy's is the only thing that stands out, among the places I've lived in central California, upstate NY, and O'ahu). So the default winner is: nachos.

If it’s both dishes prepared expertly and served fresh, I think I’m going with meat nachos. Probably Mexican restaurant style chips, queso fundido, pico de gallo, and a side of guac. The flavors and textures and colors are too much for even a well fried waffle or cottage fry with Ben’s chili and house made beer cheese sauce to compete with. It all becomes one note pretty quickly.

You've never had melted cheese with browned onions and peppers, browned fajita meat, and freshly fried tortillas with fresh salsa made from onions, cilantro, tomatoes and grilled with oil.
