Very powerful, but someone backing further and further away doesn't look like someone intending to shoot you. I have trouble believing that someone with Garrett’s conscience would shoot such a person. If she had just started backing away from Ramon, that would have made it much more believable. Still, if that's my only complaint (and it is), great job!

The mom really did that too herself tho... she had no reason to even point the gun at him or even be so aggressive and threatening. He was doing his job to stop you yes but he also saved the baby. She should have took the gun and just tried to escape

It was a great short film but felt forced at parts and rushed without the ability to connect with the situation more. I think that it's moreso because a time limitation to classify as a short in 15mins but I would love to feel more connected to the characters

Don't think this could've had a happy ending. It could be worse. If the mom would run away with the baby mother would bleed to death. Bad weather ahead the baby would've been exposed to wet and cold with nobody to feed him. If everyone stayed calm each person would have helped the other.

You step off the boat, traumatised and terrified, having lost everything you ever knew, but willing to start again. You find out that ignorant people in this new country don't want you. They tell themselves that it is 'your fault'. Even though you are just A NORMAL PERSON whose only 'crime' is that you lived in a country that became a war zone.
