We know that the star closest to our Sun is Proxima Centauri, and the star system is Alpha Centauri. However, it is not necessary that it will always be like this. In the future, it may be any other star that is farther away today that is going to approach the Sun. However, if you ask which star is closest to the Sun after the Alpha Centauri System, many of us will not be able to answer immediately. This is because no one has ever gone to explore it yet.
Within 15 light-years of the Sun, there are over fifty stars. Some of these stars are already approaching the Sun. In a few years, one of these stars will be the closest to the Sun.
According to calculations, every one lakh years, a star passes very close to the solar system or even inside the solar system. In this way, about 70,000 years ago, a star passed through our solar system. Therefore, it is not possible to think that Proxima Centauri will always be our neighbor.
In some of these stars that are said to be close to the Sun, there are also planets that are similar to Earth. Therefore, there is a possibility of life in them. Even if there is no life in them, if we need to find another planet to live in the distant future, we may be able to use one of these.

Another excellent video. Great graphics too. ( The quick reference to a star having passed *through* the solar system 70000 years ago, piqued my curiosity: So I looked this up. Turns out this is technically correct - 70000 years ago Scholz’s Star indeed passed through the Solar System's Oort cloud But its closest distance was 0.82 light years away from the Sun "Passing through the Solar system" had me misled into thinking that it did pass through our planetary disk )

There's no such minimum distance defined. There are binary star systems that are very close. All it needs to stay without falling into each other, is their speed of revolution depending on their masses.
