In typical fashion when NASCAR seizes offending parts that conflict with provisions of its rulebook, the sanctioning body hosts its own version of public shaming - putting the illegal parts on display for the media to see and report on. This video shows why Penske Racing's Logano and the 10 and 41 cars from Stewart-Haas Racing were found to be illegal.

Thank you for taking a video of this meeting. As a longtime NASCAR viewer of all 3 major touring series, this helps us feel there is more transparency with regard to NASCAR officiating. Showing and describing the violations and subsequent fines from NASCAR makes this process feel MUCH more transparent than in the past.

When you explaining, your losing .. showing webs between a glove which I would contend keeps you fingers from being dislocated, busted if it ALL goes sideways .. and millimeter changes in top rail design placement given the team the 'edge' really.. in a 500 mile race.. 200 mile race.. your kidding.. nitpicking little pricks.. how does this help promote the sport .. chickenshit violations vs the penalties for each... silly stupid people running the show here !!

I have naturally webbed fingers! I am available to drive a car in NASCAR if webbed fingers are the next big thing. My toes are webbed too. So I can drive with them when in the lead!

I did think of blocking air comin in the window corner. I also thought of the track they were on and how the webbing could help keep fingers out of the steering wheel spokes.

Same here. It's become the biggest joke of a sport I've ever seen. Funny how their remaining fan base blames everyone else but the sanctioning body. Nascar used to have their rules and principles that ALL parties and participants had to follow. If they didn't like it they would have to go play somewhere else.

The roof rails looked like someone over tighten the bolts that hold them on like a over tightened oil pan on an everyday driver car look at the markings a little scared up and bulged out around bolt holes

Really? Covid is still a thing and they cram 30 people on a Nascar tour bus! And does it take all these people to pass judgement on Joey? He also states Joey wore the glove to block air but he cant state the advantage of raised roof rails.He knows good and well its to catch more air or let air pass under the rail.

First, we all pretty much work together each week regardless and the CDC has proclaimed COVID should be treated like the flu. I can't speak for the rest but I felt perfectly safe. As for passing judgement, it is NASCAR's policy to show illegal items to the media and the garage as a measure of transparency. By the way, it wasn't 30 people.

This is just another reason NASCAR is losing it's fan base. NASCAR has become a dictator ship in my opinion. Interesting that the teams come up with all kinds of ideas but NASCAR has the opinion "It's my way or the highway". Is NASCAR going to dictate a drivers weight, Height down the road? The fact that the TV showings has decreased with lower series racing. Interesting when Bubba Wallace pulled his stunt last year and little to nothing happened to him but Kyle Bursh loses a wheel and fined $100000 tells the whole story. This new Billion dollar deal with TV and compensation to teams is sparce at most. I guess we'll see the outcome??????

Yeah it’s pretty BS that they gave that big of a penalty for this. With no real explanation. And it’s already been confirmed by others in the pit lanes someone snitched. They didn’t catch it themselfs.

@@dedo7326 It was actually shown on TV. But they have even better cameras in the cars that media and TV don't get to see. That is how they caught it. Now, did the "randomly" select Joey's car after the fuss was made on TV, I can't answer that but they do randomly look at in-car video each week.

I understand the safety protocol but Nascar racing isn't as good nor entertaining since they put the stages into effect and I can say it has lost millions of fans by doing the racing stages it's like t ball everyone gets a trophy which ruined the sport of Nascar racing fir many of us fans ! FIX IT

Those gloves don't make any difference what is the big fuss about it and don't they inspect the cars before they race those pieces should have been looked at before the cars go out on the track and I think nascar do that on purpose
