Murph was a heart and soul player. One of those players that other supporters underrate but one his teammates and supporters absolutely love. Similar to Nick Maxwell.

Well spoken Bucks. Nathan, a true Collingwood premiership champ. Gave his all for the club and his team mates. His 1st Quarter in the GF until he was injured, was superb.Unfortunately his fearless style of play caught up with him. Good onya Murph.

Murphy severely underrated, often allowed moore to sag off and was pivotal in reading the play and saving goals. Often directed down back Great career in his short time

As an Essendon supporter, love listening to Bucks, he just makes so much sense. He explains things really well & doesn't jump on & off teams week to week like 99% of commentators these days

Health should always come first, and I respect his decision to retire from football. Thank you for your immense contributions to the Collingwood Football Club. You will forever be remembered as a Collingwood Premiership Player. ⚫⚪⚫⚪

It wasn’t his decision to retire, he had no choice, the medical panel told him he had to, there goes $3-$5 million from his future afl earnings

@@trivialmatter169 Unfortunate whichever way you look at it, although his retirement from football is the right call. No money is worth potentially suffering from health issues later on down the track. Ultimately, the decision that was made, whether it was his own or based on expert advice, was the correct one.

Very unfortunate, however I was purely pointing out that the decision was not his (you indicated it was him that made the decision). These players are being forced out of the game albeit for good reason, it just seems unfair.

@@trivialmatter169 Injury has always forced players out of the game. So many players with bad knees that are forced to leave AFL. We now have to get used to players leaving due to concussion, it is what it is unfortunately. Sport is inherently unfair hahahaha, just like life.

Gotta give the dons some credit they kicked 5,1 to bulldogs 2,4 in the last quarter to keep clear. It’s seems when teams lose to Essendon they’re restructuring and flabbergasted.. similar to the game against st kilda which the saints should have won just didn’t put us away in the end. All the best to Murphy, no one will take the premiership medal from him! All the best young lad

Why are commentators so obsessed with these mythical premiership clocks..i remember teams would just try to get to enough wins for finals, then look at getting extra wins to get as high as possible on the ladder. What is this obsession with "where were at", you are where youre at late in the season when youre able to get a handle on where youre going to finish, & Bulldogs are no different. Lets have a look at about round 20 not round 5
