I took a breath at the cost of the wheels and suspension, but then thought how much bike you now get for still not too much money, and it is top notch. The hub, the rims, the tubeless function, the suspension, and the add-ons. And well, just look at it! Looking forward to seeing how it performs in Iceland, and for watching the adventures over there. Cheers from NZ. Ride safe.

Have you done anything to cure the snatchy throttle at low down speeds? I have one and love it apart from the snatchy throttle which makes low speed riding a pain, otherwise a surprisingly punchy engine from 400cc

Great looking bike Nate - one thing, have you considered unbolting the centre portion of the front fender and reattaching it above the support brackets - that might well give you some valuable extra clearance for those chunkier tyres?

Brilliant - NEEDS tail tide please 🙂- man those wheels and rack set it off - why do bikes look 10x better with knobby tyres? 40 years riding dirtbikes you would think i would be over the knobby tyre thing but nope - see this with knobby on and it just looks harder, faster, more fun and ready for end of the world mad max fuel hunting missions etc - LOVE IT. Got one of these arriving in the next week or two. Defo getting those wheels. - you did say when you first got the 400x, you felt it was more of a pop out for an hour or two bike and then head home. Now it's off to Iceland - decided it'll make a good long distance tourer now?

@billyb604316 күн бұрын
bike looks gorgeous and should perform significantly better with suspension upgrades. I think for the total outlay, there are more accomplished bikes out there capable of doing road miles in comfort and off-road miles without falling apart, but that's not really what this Scrambler is about. Few people are going to drop the best part of £8K on a bike like this and rag it off road, but the same can be said for most of the 'adventure bikes' out there. Looking forward to seeing how you get on in Iceland....and good to see RR taking on another challenge

@nathanthepostman16 күн бұрын
They're all in their own way Great engine in the triumph. Great chassis in the Himalayan. Probably the KTM has the best compromise and were if not for the cf moto 450 mt, would probably be the one out of the three I'd go for. The triumph with the KTM suspension would be brilliant however.

Haven't looked into it. I quite like the look of the stock one though
@BikingChap28 күн бұрын
I had one of these for n order but cancelled after the test ride, engine was great but that front was simply terrible. I wouldn’t personally worry about £1200 for the wheels just to make it look pretty but 8-900 to transform the suspension would money well spent but it does then make it cost the same or more than some decent competition.
