It is odd how this young girl can be the music, I am 72yrs old and have heard some fantastic music during my life, Every band has one of two songs that stand out, one song that really hits and you remember that band by that song. Angelina does that with every song she sings.

That was 12 yo Angelina with the vocal fry dial turned up to 11. How about that 1-breath, 16-second melisma toward the end. Her breath control is off the charts.

As your time between Angelina videos shortens, you’ll realize, I think, that what you called your Angelina “boost” will become your Angelina “fix”. I freely and openly admit that I am addicted to Angelina. My addiction began about four years ago, and I believe I’ve listened to Angelina sing every day for the past three years. I check my email and then listen to Angelina-except when I listen to Angelina first. It’s a wonderful addiction. She is a once in a lifetime gift to all of us.

Same here, almost. I make my coffee, then type "Angelina Jordan reactions new" in to the KZfaq search bar, filter them by date and listen to all the new ones. I do this in the evening too. My daughter and granddaughter said they think I have a problem, with how much I listen to her, but this is one addiction I don't want cured. I cry tears of happiness and of sorrow and every emotion in between. This young lady's voice makes me feel wonderful.

But the connection is to music, real music, performed by a girl who is extraordinarily talented and recreates and embellishes memories of great singers. Angelina is a positive force in many ways, but she is so enjoyable at a basic musical level.

Angelina got a rather expensive new microphone for her 12th birthday. She plugged it in and tried it out. In the process, she gave the world a masterclass on soul singing. If you're familiar with the mic, you'll notice that she's actually singing into the back side of it!

hmmm... your comments about mood and such reminded me: sometimes Angelina's performances are so surprisingly good I have to laugh.. with delight. Even if it's a song like this, intended to be a gut wrencher. BUT she sings it so unexpectedly, freakishly, amazingly good the smiles just get squeezed out of me.

Thanks, Molly for your reaction. There's nothing wrong with being sad -- just don't dwell in it too long. A lot of us find it kind of a creative space to be in, but get out and smell the air, and feel the beautiful breeze sometimes.

If you need a Beauty Fix from our little slice of heaven then may I recommend her singing "Summertime" at Kork with a full orchestra it is the most beautiful cover I've ever heard from anyone. Then again if you're feeling Jazzy then an early profomance of the song "I'm Still Holding Out for You."

There are reactions and then there's this reaction. Don't get me wrong, I do love the commentary reactions to our BAREFOOT ANGEL but this was different. She sings in English! That's her 2nd language. You know she's from Norway. There, everyone speaks Norwegian. From the age of 6, Angelina read and sing English texts and understand what everything means! She is amazing in many ways.

That was an on purpose choice for her to do her vocal fry the way she did it. what musical intelligence she has, it's off the charts & so is her musicality. New mic for my 12th birthday. Let's find a song so I can try it out. No biggie 😁. She is actually holding the mic backwards. I think because it's literally brand new to her, however, I did read someone comment that it might be on purpose for affect.

I’d go for the latter..pure speculation of course, but I suspect she very well knew her way around a microphone by this point..indeed she’s probably used this specific model during her musical travels..
