I want to try this. Can you tell me the ratio of pre-mixed compound and the paint?

It is best to load your bucket or whatever you will use to mix compound, then add paint slowly until you get the proper viscosity for the texture you would like. The more paint you add the lighter the texture effect will be.

What brand of wall compound are you using? Is there a specific name?

Any brand of pre-mixed wall compound should work do the trick. Mixing well is important though

turn the freaking music down or even better off....why would anyone put music on so loud you can not even hear you talk.....very bad dude

I know this video is a year old, but some constructive criticism: lose the music. Absolutely unnecessary and very annoying. No reason to add music to an instructional video. I've never seen a college professor put music up next to his mouth while giving a lecture.

Should've primed it first, and that is not popcorn.

That is correct this is not popcorn, this is a process of mixing primer paint with wall compound and rolling it on to create a textured finish with similar effect of popcorn sprayer, then painting with a white paint top coat. Thanks for watching
