I learnt all of them, not sure how many i remember, its been a while. Also i've seen you comment on graham siggins his videos before, do you plan on trying multiblind as well or do you prefer memorizing without rubiks cubes

I have a funny Barbados story for you: When i was a small kid, my foot feel asleep and the recurring bloodstream caused the typical pins and needles sensation. As this sensation was new to me and caused a bit of a concern, I told my mother that my foot is (translated) "Barbading"! Well she was confused. The flag with the trident resonated so strongly with me, that I was not aware that I associated a whole country with a tingling in my foot which feels like as someone stabbed me with a trident! :D

Talk about timely video! I recently started memorizing all the countries, capitals, flags and locations and this video couldn't be more relevant to watch! You helped me overcome some of the challenges with mixing up some flags and gave tips that will make it a lot easier for me. I look forward to seeing more of these videos, where you might build more information into these memories. Since I started memory training I've gained a completely new perspective on my own learning, smashing those old beliefs about what my brain is capable of. Great lesson and thanks. I am sure you'll never run out of things to memorize! Here's a colorful candidate. The human body has about 200 cell types, and after staining and under a microscope, they are abstract art. Maybe in an hour you can learn these, and med students will thank you.

I need to do the flags. I memorized every country a while back and it was a lot of fun, never thought I'd get addicted to geography My own personal tip if you do more geography in the future - break it down into continents! It's a lot easier to memorize 54 things in africa than going straight for the entire world

I'd be really curious what kind of review you do when you want to hold onto knowledge. You mentioned spaced repetition (presumably expanding spaced repetition), but I've found after awhile I start only retaining around 2/3rds on a doubling interval rhythm, and the ones I remember I'm not really recalling the image I made for it. I'm pretty good at getting stuff into short term memory for a week or so, but I'd love to know what you do to hold onto stuff. Just shorter intervals? Of course it's best to use what you know in real contexts, but sometimes for one reason or another we want to hold onto something we don't have an opportunity to use yet (chinese characters lol ☹)

Sorry, I’m coming to this late, but the one thing that I was most curious about didn’t seem to be covered: How are you actually memorizing all of the colors? If you didn’t know that France was red, white, and blue, for example, how would you go about memorizing those colors and their specific order on the flag? Do you have a specific system/approach for color memorization?

You could take it to a new step, similar to how you memorise a deck of cards ðere is a flag set of flash cards, can be purchased on Amazon so, remembering ðe countries and ðeir flag in order from a randomly shuffled deck. Little Wigwam do one ðat’s got 216 flags. I’m sure you can get similar ones for each of ðe 50 states of America flags too.

question can you ever try to memorize page of book by using POA system for letters? like memorizing for example first 3 or first 6 letters with POA system, i was wondering if it will make word-by-word memorization of page much faster.

interesting note: i'm doing this in order to become color neutral at cubing. if i can associate 3 colors in an order (flag and cube orientation) than I will be color neutral in solving in no time. Nelson, did you do this as well? I see your cube laying around

Seafaring folk know that red is port and green is starboard so it seems odd that the flag of the seafaring nation of Portugal has these the other way round...or maybe they are just heading towards us!

This seems more like you are differentiating between flags you already know. How are you actually remembering which flag belongs to which country?

In the last test that you did, where you got 100% you just had to type in the name of a country and I got automatically assigned to the flag. so technically you just proofed with this test that you know what every country is called but not necessarily which flag is linked to that country

You're wrong. In JetPunk there are some quizzes that have a yellow color on the answer's box. As you may see in the first shot, when he types Australia, there is a yellow box under the flag of Australia.

I can easily remember because I think I am very friendly example oh my classmate got married there, my friends work there, I have my co-workers came from there or I got my ex in that country 😅. I memorized it through people that I know 😁

I just realized I freaking recognize 67 countries and can name all of them, but I didn't even know where or how I knew all the names of those, and it's actually pretty fun to be able to name every country that has been stuck in your brain.

I got 22 on my first test (no i’m not american). Started learning all the flags because some kid in my class can do it and I want his ego to go down !!! Good luck to me. He said he learned it all in one week. That’s probably gonna be impossible for me but wish me luck.

For me, the yellow star on the red background indicates a "Camera on" and green and yellow either side to complete the Pan-African colours.

Another video for Belgium pointed out that if you try to cook waffles, they first come out black, then golden, then you can add strawberries. It's also the French flag with blue and white turned black and yellow.

It’s super tricky especially because some websites actually don’t get the colors correct. Chad has a more drab, darker blue. That’s the way I remember it

@@NelsonDellis Thank you! I'll try to pay closer attention but it seems very hard without having them side by side especially after some time has passed. I learned the flags using anki, but when both of these show up after a couple of months for review its always a tossup.

Memorice 100 chinese characters andxheck how long it would take. And then try the same words in other languages, like finnish or some african dialect.
