We are changing NEO-6M 1Hz to 5Hz and not 10Hz because as per the manual 5Hz is the maximum Hertz setting for NEO-6M.
You can modify the NEO-6M module with USB to TTL converter but, for this video we are using Arduino Uno.

It's a great video. I'm working with esp8266 on Arduino IDE I'm wondering if I set the measurement period to 200ms it will reconfigure the GPS module, or I should change something on my esp?

Was there no sketch needed for the arduino?

It will communicate directly with the GPS module, without a sketch, just the wiring.
