I am only a second generation member of the Church. I guess that gives me more opportunities to do Temple work! But I love hearing the Pioneer stories. The Nephite warriors were an answer to prayer. I wonder how tall they were. The Book of Mormon says that Nephi was a large & mighty man. ❤

I grew up in Cache Valley and personally met and taught the gospel of Jesus Christ alongside one of the 3 Nephites..when you looked into his eyes they were filled with the spirit. It looked like they were on Fire. My greatest experience was seeing the Son of God in all his Glory filled with unconditional love

I LOVE these stories! I’ve had AMAZING things happen to me at the Idaho Falls temple that most people wouldn’t believe if I told them. I KNOW they happened, as did the stories told in this video. I also know that I have experienced these incredible things because of my belief that they can happen to anyone and I ASK for such encounters to happen. Pure innocent faith makes miracles happen! Thank you for being brave enough to post this video.

My mom was from Logan and I remember hearing a couple of these stories. She was baptized in the Logan temple. Back in those days (1930s) she said that when kids turned eight they were told to just go to the temple after school and someone would baptize them. So that's what she did. She said her mom or dad or other family members weren't there, no big deal was made of it, it was just how things were done. My grandfather was an artist and I was told he painted some murals in that temple, but I've been told they were painted over during a later renovation. My parents were married there.

My parents were sealed to each other and to me and my siblings when i was 2. I have a memory of seeing people dressed in white outside of the temple for as far as i could see. They actually met with the horizion. I also remember my feet with white slippers on them.i believe this is a true memory. I also remember seeing many people outside my house as a child. These people were not dressed in white and I knew they were spirits. Some were comfortable to be around others weren't.

I love stories like this. I was blessing my new baby daughter. And all of the sudden. I could not stop crying. I literally bald like a baby. And then it was over. I thought to myself that was strange. Later that night I went to see my Uncle Lee and my Aunt Tony. And their kids. While there visiting them . She said Richard. I have something to tell you. Two of my kids said they saw a man standing behind you dressed in white clothes , and he had his hands on you r shoulder looking down on your daughter. And then he was gone that quick. I was astounded. For not an hour or two earlier. My late best friend said exactly the same thing. I didn't know who it was. Later in the week , my friend was at my house and we were in the kitchen, and he happened to see a picture I had on the fridge. And exclaimed there he is! I said who ? The man I saw behind you at your daughters blessing. I said that.cant be. He's been dead for a couple years now! I found out later my.mother had done his work in the temple just a couple months before. I was so over come with joy and tears.

I love the story of the Heavenly celebration when that family line was completed. ❤ I am a convert and have worked for years preparing family names. I had an interesting thought last night. I am the first person with my last name to join the Church. My name is a very uncommon Volga German name. It took many years to get the needed information. Two months ago I was able to seal three generations together. In that moment I understood a very clear thought, "There is now POWER in the Deis line!" I am still searching for one of the grandmothers in order to finish sealing all the remaining deceased generations that came after those three done that night. Hoping I'll find her soon.

Brother Merrill. We had a simular experience one winter evening while driving through Logan on our way to Idaho. As we got into town, we saw a glow coming from our right and wanted to see what it was. We had never been to Logan before but as we got close to the Temple, it was glowing with an aurora around and above it. We were mesmerized and took a couple of pictures of the Temple. It was something that we had never seen before and the only thing I can compare it to was seeing the aurora borealis while flying in the Air Force over Alaska in the winter. After we got the pictures back, they just showed the Temple with no aurora. We knew we had seen something Heavenly that evening. Thank you for sharing this story.

I enjoy hearing the genealogy and family lineage mentioned by many of the commenters. My ancestory goes through almost all the modern prophets except President Hunter and a couple others. Joseph Smith is a cousin of mine. I enjoy hearing the true accounts of the 3 Nephites and the stripling warriors. I had considered with holding two of my experiences due to their sacred nation to me, but perhaps it is time. Look at all the wonders in the Heavens and upon the earth. I am of no consequence but I would tell you of this account. While serving a Mission in the Midwest I was directed with my company to serve in El Paso Texas long long ago. I personally enjoyed the area and really indeed loved the people there. Over time we discovered however there were some who did not agree with us and we only knew they met us harm. Rather then relate to you the attempts to inflict harm upon us while we were away from our living quarter's teaching the gospel I will relate what took place one night where we were residing. Prior to this event there had previously been three attempts to knock in our front door several different nights as well as waking in the morning to find anti books with all the corners of the book just slightly burnt warning us to leave the area. One particular night we arrived to what we called home for the moment and were extremely fatigued and worn. That night I prayed feeling a sense of what ever I'd ask for, even as imperfect as I was, that my prayer would be answered. I prayed the Father would send Stripling Warriors to walk round about our apartment room and protect us. That night I began to hear foot steps as I would every night but not like this, the foot steps never ceased, I'd look out the corner of my curtains once but I would hear the foot steps further around the corner of our building. Our Bens where we slept were just a few inches lower the the bedroom window and I related to my companion that night prior to sleeping with a bit of humour that if any one ever shot at the brick wall it was a constellation knowing the bullets would fly just above our bodies and miss us. I eventually fell asleep still hearing foot steps all around our ground floor corner apartment. When we awoke the next day we were refreshed and had slept soundly through the entire night. When we were ready to leave and began our day we exited our apartment and immediately ran into the apartment managers who upon seeing us commence in eager conversations. They said we knocked and bang on your door last night and the police knocked many times but no answer so they assumed you both must be okay. They explained that someone had shot multiple shots at our wall and we excitedly walked with the manager couple and they pointed out where the police found three gun shots to the bricks below our window. Non of the shots made it into our window and we know why that was. The Lord does hear and answer prayers, these Warriors do exit here and in reality. I will share my experience with the three Neon items at another time. Often I remember and realize how merciful the Lord is to us, I being so imperfect and of little consequence except to Him.

I have the book,very interesting. My great great grandparents and great grandfather came from Switzerland. Left Liverpool England on June 27, 1877 arrived at Castle Garden New York on July 7, 1877. They then traveled by train to Evanston, Wyoming where they got off, and traveled by wagon to the Bear Lake Valley. The train they traveled on arrived in Salt Lake on July 14, 1877. The 13 weeks on the ocean and 13 weeks traveling across the country is a little confusing especially for 1884. But that is what is printed in the book.

He helped build the temple, went to extreme lengths to gather 4000 names for temple work without so much as a howdy do and those family members were allowed to come down to the Logan temple to celebrate and yet no mention of Bro. The fastest ships in the 1880s were a week to ten days as you saw on google. However most immigrants did not even have the required fare for crossing and would arrange with the clunkers in the harbors of England. The Ballard family had made the journey the year before. They recounted as it says in the story 13 weeks crossing. There are other accounts available on line of ships taking over 29 weeks to cross. The difference between a coal driven scooter and a ship that relied on the wind was huge.

Unfortunately, your story about John F Boyington is a little bit off. He was excommunicated and Kirtland on Sept. 3rd 1837 and had nothing to do with the church in Nauvoo or in Missouri, and never lived in Nauvoo. @ts-900
@ts-900 3 ай бұрын
@@lancemerrill6390 Depends on which group we are talking about. Generally, I'll call them "Indians" because that's what they were called for centuries. The "mound builders were the people of the Adena, Hopewell, and Mississippian cultures". There is a place called "Indian Mound" very close to here (Independence, Missouri). A king of Spain negotiated with the tribes in this area (presumably the Osage) and gave a large tract of land to my family. When they arrived, the Osage Indians said that they would honor this agreement, on condition that they would marry the chief's daughter. But they were both married, or spoken for, so the agreement was made for his 2-year-old son to marry the chief's 2-year-old daughter, and when they were both 16, they were married. Edit: Incidentally, they named their daughter America.

Ponder the existence of your Creator. then kneel down and verbally ask: Are you there God, Is there a God? 2 things will happen, 1st. you will experience extreme resistance in your life.
