i have at least 2 instances where the cameraman goes found footage films Diary of the dead Rec/Quarantine (Rec is the i think European/South American title, whereas Quarantine is the American title)

Not gonna lie, the only person I felt sorry for was the teacher. Everyone else, especially Ayla, deserved what was coming to them. They gave that thing a taste for human blood, used it for their own petty revenge, set up the beginnings of a ‘Lord of the Flies’ situation, & got at least one innocent man killed. It was time they paid the piper.

I love how Nerd Explains is half "How to survive," and half movie review with his video essays. The main problem with surviving the movie isn't how dangerous the monsters are, but how dumb the heroes trying to survive go about it, lol.

I think their humor would blend well, Nerd explains foes over how to survive a monster of threat and roanoke covers the biological aspects. unrelated note kill command would be fun as a relatively competent group of protagonists to cover.

I wish my teachers would give urban legends as an assignment. I kinda started one, as a joke for laughs. Nothing extreme happened, thank god. I was writing a cryptic story for my creative writing class. I was writing about Iron Maiden’s mascot Eddie, but nobody in my school knew it was him. I was in a private school and I was the only metalhead. The urban legend I spread was about a man that somehow never dies. He does “die”, but he remembers his life in the past. Almost like reincarnation in a way. I went on to explain that he is still alive and he has remembered his life as a viking, a shaman, a pharaoh, a mummy, in a asylum, in Hell, as a phantom, and even an alien. The stupid “legend” went around school like a virus. I did break it to them eventually that it was a band mascot. Some were pissed, some laughed, others say I worship Satan.

In a standard coming of age drama the protagonist group are moving from the comfort zones of their 'tree house' hideaways and being pushed into the real world as it intrudes into the bubble of childhood. They represent the autumn of a phase of life as change takes hold of responsibility, of relationships and of bodies. Change is scary and is overcome together as a group through the embracing of the individual potential that is their strength and that is also carrying them apart. It's affirming. This movie is written to be the antithesis of this structure, quite deliberately it seems, as such it's an interesting experiment. I haven't seen the movie yet but i think my enjoyment of it will be about the pacing.
