An oversight was identified on the drug interaction slide, where the names of quinolone antibiotics were inadvertently misspelled. The corrected names are as follows: ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, and ofloxacin. Shout out to @MadameCasper for kindly bringing this to my attention!

Liked and subscribed. I do not trust my doctors anymore. BEWARE READERS !! I was 8 years on avastatin, for cholesterol. My Pain got so bad I wanted to die. Both of my reg. Drs. missed it. Even the Pain Clinic Dr. missed it, a Vein Doctor took 1 look at my med list pointed at Avastatin, and said, "There's your problem !" Sure enough after 2 months my pain went down 85 %. the Pain Clinic wanted to keep doing surgery, needle nerve killing. Then they acted like I was a "Druggie" for wanting More Pain Pills. They almost cut me off. BEWARE !

Does anyone know what it means on the bottle under supplemental facts of a 500 mg Magnesium Gylcinate tablet where it says: Magnesium Glycinate 500mg, then underneath it says Magnesium (from Magnesium Glycinate)150 mg, 36% Daily Value. Does that mean I would have to take 3 tablets to get 450mg and the RDA of actual Magnesium Glycinate? Or just 1 tablet is enough? I am not clear on this. If someone can explain I'd appreciate it.

@@MyDogSteppedOnaBeee I'm basing this according to the video beginning at 9:28. I read that to be how much elemental magnesium (150 mg) is in the tablet. So, two should put you at the low end of the typical recommened daily requirement (300-400 mg).

@@jamclibusmar from what I have seen, every person is very unique. But I have seen a lot of research that confirms both the magnesium and sodium aspects. Especially in combination with a gluten and casein protein free diet. I know however some people say caffeine taken during the day can trigger seizures later during the day as well. And then again, some believe that skullcap herb and ashwagandha helps with seizures. For me personally, magnesium and sodium in relatively high dosages does the trick.

Great video, thank you!! I have RLS, and have suffered with it my whole life (I'm mid 50's now), but horribly keeping me from falling asleep, and waking me up all night for the last 20 years. I read that Mg can help, but I was using the wrong form. A friend recently told me that her Dr. recommended Glycinate, so I switched, and ohhhhhhhhh man! I'm averaging 7-8 hours of sleep after taking it for about 3 weeks now! Not one Dr I have ever seen about this has even mentioned Mg., let alone Glycinate. I tried to research, and ultimately purchased Pure Encapsulations, and I'm so glad to see that it made your list of a great option! I feel like a human again!

I'm a road cyclist. I started to experience cramps, fasiculations, and some palpitations after increasing my training load in the summer. I'm also a renal physiologist (now) and neurophysiologist (formerly). Magnesium glycinate has solved the issue. So it is interesting to me that you experienced similar issues after resuming running. Divalent cations have ridiculously complicated effects on excitable cells since they bind to so many things on the cell surface as well as inside cells. But it's been known since the 1950s that Mg2+ tends to stabilize resting membrane electrical properties in nerve and muscle, even in simple systems like squid axons. I know that because I published a paper on the same general type of observation in vertebrate neurons in around 1993, by which time nobody really cared As far as I know, that paper had only been cited once in the intervening three decades 😂. I had practically forgotten it myself, but it is what made me consider that a magnesium supplement was worth trying.

Regularly now for 3 or 4 days, my achey feet are soothed now and I'm not worrying so much Amy more. I feel like I've come out of a cave! As for my sciatic, it's not bothering me as much there is approx. 80% reduction of throbbed pain. Why the gimme crickets d that take it out of our drinking water? nobody can figure my health out at the doctors they keep sending me to every buddy that don’t want to deal with me I guess , so I decided to diagnose myself and I truly believe I need magnesium and or potassium. Who knows what else because the labs keep coming back fine could you please tell me how much magnesium a 60 year old female should have per day if they feel their deficient with muscle cramps and numerous other symptoms but then I talked to my doctor and they say if I take too much ,, (I only get potassium out of the food I eat) no supplements ) that can cause muscle cramps, but I don’t take too much. they’re basing it on my labs which isn’t measured in the cell. Please help by giving me some numbers thank you right now I bought kal high absorbency magnesium glycinate it’s like $27 a bottle. It says Chelated but it does say bisglycinate in parentheses. Can someone please be honest with me if I’ve got the correct kind that will help me? Thank you for your time and efforts.

I’ve probably watched 15+ videos about Magnesium supplements, mostly learning about different types, and you are the first to explain what Chelated and Elemental mean. Those seem like pretty important pieces of information since non-chelated could mean that the supplement contains forms that you are trying to avoid. Thank you for the detailed explanation of magnesium supplements. There were two important points that I appreciated: getting enough elemental mag as opposed to just getting so many mgs of mag listed on the bottle and getting a brand that uses chelated mag instead of combining mag plus glycine, great stuff not mentioned on many mag videos. Actually very few brands give the elemental amount on their ingredients, NOW does provide elemental mag amount, 100mg, highest I've come across. Thanks

You did not mention Magnesium Malate or Magnesium Turate. Both of these forms do Not Cause loose Bowels. Magnesium is needed in the cell so that potassium can be absorbed into the cell. Otherwise if there is not enough magnesium inside the cell…the potassium will just circulate outside of the cell. Heart attacks are mainly caused by low levels of both magnesium AND potassium. Magnesium is needed for the assimilation of Vitamin D which protects our immune system and heart and vital organs.

I had blood tests done in relation to my experiencing cramps, fasciculations, and loss of sleep. Mag glycinate seemed to have cured this. I'm glad this video supported my results.

Hello, thank you for the great video! I have a question for you. I recently started takein ZMA which has Magnasium L-Aspartate, in your video you havent mentioned much about this particular magnesium. What is your view on this, and would you recommend any ZMA productws?

Thank you for this easy to understand and easy to take notes on magnesium. I too cured my diabetes type 2 toe neuropathy and severe foot, leg & thigh(!) night cramps with magnesium glycinate. However, none of my doctors; PCP, cardiologist or neurologist ever recommended it. Actually they acted like I was speaking a foreign language. All my info came from KZfaq videos. Again, Thank you! I will be changing brands ‘slowly’ due to your additional info. because my brand is obviously working great but I’d like to get to a maintenance level now.

How did you take it? I'm starting to have similar symptoms. I have magnesium as a powder form
@ccsunnie

@@PhillyMunay I take pill form. When I was experiencing symptoms I took Naturebell Magnesium Glycinate 1,000 mg morning and night. I also added zinc (honestly don’t remember why 😅) and Chondroitin, Glucosamine & MSM. It took months for all symptoms (severe cramps, burning, tingling toes and knee pain) to be nonexistent.
