Some basic stats would be nice such as span, wing area, empty weight, max TO weight, stress limits, etc. Please post them.

@@KlingbergWingMkII Neutrino ultralight glider is a personal project of Elias Sopeoglou at the metalware factory Metalso in Greece. It was inspired by the pioneers of this class ,mainly Swift and Archaeopteryx and glider aeromodels. It has a tribute to vintage gliders inherent in the design. It has a wingspan of 14 meters and a prototype weight of 67kg with optimization room for even lower weight. It is a full composite carbon fiber honeycomb hollow core in mould construction .The specification aims where as follows : -Weight < 70kg -Landing speed < 35km/h. -Glide >30/1 (aiming for 33) -Stiff and rigid for high speeds. -Easy to fly with inherent stability. -Easy assembly and disassembly with no tools. -Larger part up to 5meters long.Transporting at the top of a car is possible. -Great view and contact with the air for best experience . -Relaxing flight position with sidestick. -Provision for closed canopy. -Provision for bungee launch at the slopes. -Provision for self take off-sustained flight. The project started in 2015 and the first flights took place in summer 2023 at Kolhiko Airport in Thessaloniki. The flight test program is under way with evaluation of the flight envelope. The first indications are extremely satisfying.

OMG!!!! That thing has a jet engine, and a slingshot start!!! WOW!!!!! I do get the feeling that it's underpowered though.
@NeutrinoULGlider-cb7jvАй бұрын
Thank you ! Lets not forget ,this is a 70kg glider ,the engine is intended for sustained flight to get back home or get out from a bad sitiation .However it has a steady climb rate of 2,6m/sec + ,that is not considered underpowered in aviation.

Looks like a real fun aircraft.. what is max pilot weight, 100kg?

That looks like a fun and great performance litttle plane. Although the jet engine seems the simplest to integrate propulsion sysem for self launch, If I decided to want one, I'd prefer to design in an electric motor with a folding propeller rotating around the tail tube.
@louisvanrijn39642 ай бұрын
Such a folding propeller system could be seen years ago on the Aero in Friedrichshafen. It is however complicated, or expensive.
@NeutrinoULGlider-cb7jv2 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment, this plane has a wingspan of 14meters and weights 70kg ,you have to understand more about systems and complexity vs weight ,only learned after you build one..

Such a beautiful glider but the noisy jet feels rather out of its beauty. I am probably too oldfashioned. Still looking forward to the designspec though.
@NeutrinoULGlider-cb7jv3 ай бұрын
Marco ,its all about practicality ,with two visits at the field I already have 5X the flight time I had since summer ! The info and experience gathered is priceless. After all it can always remain shut off after gaining height.All gliders need some sort of roaring engine to get there ,regardless if its winch ,tow car, tow plane or jet engine..

@@NeutrinoULGlider-cb7jv Well no they don''t - you can bungee, shoulder or gravity launch, as a few alternatives, if you have the right site. But jets are definitely not the way to go due to noise restrictions at most airfields in Europe.............
@marco2often3 ай бұрын
@@NeutrinoULGlider-cb7jv Thank you for responding. To me a small electric propeller would achieve the same at a lower noise level.. Like the Archaeopteryx glider.

@@marco2often I think jets are wicked though, so....

@@marco2often propellers and brushless motors are so nice indeed, then comes in the equation the batteries and the fun stops. Batteries and charging them is still a big problem. Im no fuel guy ,I own two electric cars and play with brushless and lipos almost 20 years now.
