I'm glad you mentioned about YT being secondary. Some selfish people seem to think it's all about them and their viewing. There's one woman in particular who has been berating both Neel, and Rhys and Taylor in the comment section of another ear wax uploader. She's whining because they're not uploading often or consistently enough. It's incredibly selfish. I'm glad to know you support the staff in the clinic doing their actual job and don't placate such self-centred individuals On a separate note I found your hearing aid series extremely useful so thank you. I learned so much more from you than I did the original audiologist who prescribed them.

Thank you - the 30 days series has been a huge undertaking and we are hopeful it can help lots of people. So much info at a fitting appointment is forgotten - and the first month of wearing hearing aids is where a lot of people give up, this has been made to support people through this at home.

@@altohear - yes, I gave up within the first few of months and I was prescribed them many years ago so I've not really used them I had a hearing test with a private qualified audiologist on Wednesday and he reiterated what you said. Hopefully, when I see the NHS one they'll be more helpful this time. Thank you once again

Greetings from the US! Funny story first off. A while back I was looking on the Internet because my veterinarian said that my cat’s ears were dirty and they had to put some medicine in there that I was supposed to give it to her, so I looked it up on the Internet. I got the information I needed, but then it started sending me all these things about earwax so I was like yeah let me take a look at this. I was fascinated. Most of them were gents from the UK. Then you popped up one time and were talking about hearing aids well, that’s another interesting thing for me because my best friend wears hearing aids in both ears. She has Ménière’s disease. I don’t have hearing aids or hearing issues right now, but I found your series on hearing aids very interesting. She had a terrible experience recently. They said she needed to be fitted for new hearing aids, they poured some sort of stuff in her ear to make the mold I guess, and they let it dry for a while but then they couldn’t get it out and she said a couple different people tried to get it out and they couldn’t either. Her actual audiologist was off so she had to wait for him to come back. They had to surgically remove it. What a horrible thing and as long as I’ve known her since she’s had hearing aids they never really worked right for her I feel bad for her. So thank you for all you do! Please tell Maria she’s doing a great job.She must have forearms like Popeye in that first video I watched her doing that difficult and delicate work! Thanks again. 😊

I'm watching bc other channels i watch recommended you. I honestly don't care for the very short videos. That means i have to constantly find a different video. Maybe think about putting several short videos together.

It looked like the second ear you showed was the right ear. And the part that took the longest was stuck at the second bend of a very bending ear canal. However, I was surprised at how much came out after you got the grip that got it moving. That was. A big wax baby.

I'm retired now from direct care staff in the US. I can't think of how many times a video series for end users of hearing aides would have been incredibly useful. With all the training we get, just hearing aide care for our patients was so lacking. Like "take them out before you shower a patient" and "there is a left and right". Im going to have a look at your series and recommend it to people i know who are currently in the field. Thanks!

A few questions, you do sound a bit condescending towards other audiologists who do render a professional service but they still take into account why people watch these channels. Why then post on KZfaq in the first place if your videos do not have a clear beginning, middle and end? I would like to see another such channel develop but that should not hint that yours are so professional and medical that us viewers must just accept it. Please try to reconsider your decision to be on KZfaq if it has no significance to you.

Also the channels who take photos - the clinicians who make the videos are also taking the wax out. Much easier then to make a call and take a few pics and I’m not knocking that one bit. As I said - it’s just how it’s set up.

I don’t think anyone watches your videos for entertainment.. I think of them as educational. I understand that, but I didn’t appreciate your talking down to your audience. If they don’t like it, then they don’t have to watch.
