Yeah I agree, I think sometimes when us kids think about our lives and things we forget that it’s our parents’ first lives too.

Their relationship was pretty steadily evolving from the very beginning and it definitely did not come out of nowhere. You can see Ben show genuine concern for her as early as episode 3. Ever since the Model UN episode it was clear that they had a nice chemistry and an episode after that it was already hinted that Ben was into her. So it definitely wasn't just because she was nice to him once. They had a really nice rivals to lovers kind of vibe, knew and understood each other very well. I get it if it's not your cup of tea, but it definitely wasn't random, it was written like that from the start. They also definitely bonded with each other on a much deeper level than she did with Paxton.

@@Unfiltered494 idk man. they were definitely giving good friend chemistry. but it was not giving let’s make this romantic. and as u said yea he like maybe kinda thought about her before but devi clearly wasn’t into him. she’s been all about paxton this whole time and when ben tries kissing her was weirded out. so i don’t see how this relationship came to be. i do think they understand eachother well but that doesnt mean they have to date. the person who gets me the best is my best friend.
