Yeah I agree totally with the seat , hopefully the wether gets a bit better and out of the minus degrees and I can get out on it for a proper ride :)

I really like the standard monster so I’m sure this will be brilliant.. will let you know when I ride it … just waiting for it to dry up a bit

Yeah what a great song 🎵 for me personally bikes like these and the Streetfighter’s don’t need cruise.. at least on the roads we ride on over here but understand there are people that use it a fair bit.. as for the black brake callipers did they have Brembo written in red? They were probably the optional extra ones you can buy on there for show.. and thanks, glad you enjoyed the video :)

@@ProjectMoto I have a bad hand, hence the cruise. I know it’s not necessary. Pretty sure they said brembo on the calipers. Just figured it was for the shows, not for real. Can’t wait to see you ride this puppy. 👍

its a very tough choice mate, if that's what you want to spend total then i would say the Monster with the system and a few bits ..i really like the Monster with the Termignoni system , its a shame for me that the Sp only has the end cans..and if your not really going to ever go to the track....both awesome though but i know what you mean

@@ProjectMoto Ta mate. You told me exactly what I wanted to hear. It's not so much about limiting spend, but trying to avoid going into Street Fighter territory when it comes to price. The Monster is a better bike for a man of my age and if I stray to near the Street Fighter I'll end up with one of those and regret it! I saw a video the other day which states the end cans on that SP have welded DB killers. Surely not! That would be sacrilegious!

@@dom9882 yeah they are the homologated exhaust can on the sp so they are different cans to what you get with the system , so if you put the system on the SP you can not use the end cans that come with the SP

I like the SP but I do like the Monster in the red.. for me I would put the Termignoni system on rather then the homologated exhaust , unfortunately this exhaust on the SP doesn’t change the sound or feel of the bike

Looking forward to doing it :) and with the Monster + at £11,595, The Monster SP £13,995 and then the V2 (red) £15,995 there is a couple of grand between each model .. then personally all of them I would say want the exhaust systems they don’t need them bunch it does make a difference , the Termi on the Monsters is an extra £2,165.. and the Akrapovic system on the V2 is £4,922 or the silencers for £3,319 , so there is another jump in price … will be interesting to see how different the SP is .. as the Monster+ with the system is still cheaper then the SP … system or ohlins ??

Yeah what a bike, will do a ride review on it against the standard monster.. definitely needs the full exhaust , the Termi’s on the SP do nothing to the ride or sound really , a good choice of bikes . Just have to work out what you actually want out of the bike and what you want to use it for I guess

And yeah I'm just wanting to just go for a good old blat at the weekends so I want something that will put a smile on my face & I want to be comfortable as well & I think it could be the Hypermotard or the Monster? Yeah it looks so good, the problem it they can’t sell a road bike with a full race system I guess, you could probably get a de cat pipe to remove the catalytic converter, I think the cans are different to the system though how they attach, looking forward to riding one myself … weather has been horrible !!

Tbh for me it don’t look like an MT-10 other then they are both naked bikes.. but thankfully it doesn’t ride like one 😂

@@ProjectMoto if you look online everywhere people can post comments you read/see hundreds disapprove on new look the design move. Yamaha and ducati even made the same call to produce the highest spec version of this bike their SP model. Yamaha broke the news first on their upgraded SP model as far as here in U.S.A. from everything I saw and read.

@@GettingthruLife oh I understand loads of people don’t like the new look of the monster without the trellis frame, personally I was never a massive fan unless it was a 1200R , the frame had to go to make the monster as good as it is today , it’s just progress , i always enjoy riding it and they were always going to do an SP version anyway , the MT10SP really is up against the Streetfighter V4 rather then the Monster.. which it is no where near , everyone likes and wants different thing from their bikes, as long as it makes you smile that’s all that matters

@@ProjectMoto Not to beat a dead horse as that saying goes but I just pulled up high res image of Ducati Monster SP and the Yamaha MT-10SP and they look so very similar its like Ducati placed a piece of rice paper of the yamaha in the design phase and traced it. Sure the Yamaha and the Monster have different DNA and everything motor design but the presentation is very similar. The one main difference is the MT-10 SP has a little bottom fairing add on and a side radiator cover. Yes, for the performance side of measurement the MT-10 SP is more pointed at the ducati streetfighter (output and pistons) but as you stated not in the same ballpark. All just "looks" base comparing, my comments.

@@GettingthruLife every has their own opinion, which is a good thing, me personally I’ve seen them in the flesh and they don’t look the same to me and as you just said you did I just did the same with looking again at the images online and still don’t see it other then they are naked bikes, if you get to see them side by side you will see what I mean , or maybe not , maybe they are just both doing something right :)

Yeah you get a rear seat with the SP

Love the look of this, no the end cans look the same but it is the total legal homologated exhaust on this one so still has the catalytic converter

we have sold them to tall riders who are commutable on the Monster, i think it is personal to each rider so try to get a test ride or at least sit on one and see how you feel
