Today we discuss the VERY BEST way to experience the classic crime-open world game Saints Row 1. SR1 is one of my favorite games of all time but unfortunately 17 years later you start to feel it's age with constant frame drops, screen tears, and other performance issues. Luckily for us, with some recent updates we can play Saints Row 1 on the PC through Xbox 360 emulation. Not only that, we can add a plug-in that allows us to experience Saints Row 1 in 60FPS of the FIRST TIME EVER. If you have any questions, let me know. Enjoy the fresh aroma of SR1.

yall mf wildin 😂😂😂 just straight up linking ISOs like its 2008. I am all for it, I just find it hilarious that we went full circle after more than a decade of youtube guides, from "Use your legally acquired backup of the game 🤓" to just "ey bro here's my ISO" lmfao. Been more than a decade since I last played SR1, might give it a whirl. Looks tight

JUST A HEADS UP That 60 FPS xex is BROKEN it will not save any weapons to your weapon cache, spent hours passing all the Hitman activities and got nothing.

Just what this needed! Now SR1 really just needs two big changes… but they may be harder, if not outright impossible to implement: 1. Mission checkpoints (anyone who’s played knows the hell that is the airport mission…) 2. Female Playa option (the hard part here is that there would need to be female voice lines as well)

canary says 64 in the max queued frames section now and in the description it says "16 is the minimum" is this options value changed now? seems like changing it from 16 to 3 isnt the right choice

Xenia has FXAA and AMD FSR, which improves graphics for all game it’s little to no performance impact. It’s in a great place right now.

Hi, I have my game have black flicker issue , plus 60fps patch does not work. xenia says: "There's been an issue reading content from the game disc. This is likely caused by bad or unimplemented file iso calls". I tried 2 isos: one region free,another australian.

Dude no matter how I install this the game just freezes on the load in to character creation it just buffers and skips to the point where I can’t even play and keeps making a buzzing sound 😿 what am I doing wrong ??????

When I open the 60FPS version Xenia says there's been an issue reading content from the game disc. This is likely caused by bad or unimplemented file IO calls. Does anyone have a solution to this? If I launch the game from the ISO file then it works fine but only in 30fps mode. I would love to play this at 60FPS but I cant seem to get it working at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need SR extracted and then put the 60fps mod in this folder, otherwise it cant connect the mod with the game as its still an iso file like you said. Download the game from his link (mirror2 as the first one is down)

Also, the XEX file makes you unable to get rewards from activities, they just don't trigger. This video needs an update.

@GODZHAND i used xbox image browser to unpackage, for anyone facing the same issue :D if you get "access denied" click on properties and untick the "read only" box on the iso file.

@@kiezzi1825 the playlist you can make in game that is then supposed to becone an option when you drive a car. There are these music stores around town in the game where you can buy songs, with these songs you can make a playlist but whenever I activate that playlist, music in cars break completely. If I don't activate it, the car radios work the playlist isn't an option

Runs pretty badly for me in a GTX 1070, i5 4690. It's mostly stuttering, not unplayable but very annoying FPS drops to 40s. If anyone can share some tweaks it'll be appreciated. For now i'll have to play it in the default 30 fps.

Xenia uses alot of GPU power, if you're using Integrated Graphics then no way it will run well

Do u have another graphics card (GPU) or just your integrated? If not I’d recommend upgrading your card, you can get some top of the line ones now for only a couple hundred. If u have nvidia, go to nvidia control panel and change your global setting to use your nvidia card and not your integrated graphics.
