Ross there were so many good things about this test. Loved the golfer you chose for his pure robot mm strike location ability. I agree with another commenter that the dynamic loft drastic difference is alarming. As a fitter I would have ruled out the heads first. Check the driver loft at center strike on both. Most manufacturers have a +\- 1 degree tolerance from stated loft so the aero jet could have been weak and the darkspeed strong and that may have accounted for the drastic difference. If this was the case I’d go back to the drawer and find two heads with the same loft, this is assuming the player wants the look of how the head does in the STD hosel position. However if both from this test happen to perfectly have the exact stated loft then I would assume that the cg is wildly different between the models causing more shaft deflection which is pretty impressive and not that likely because of the drastic difference. The weights are almost the same year over year and this isn’t a 50g taylormade fairway wood sliding weight. At that point I would have lofted the AeroJet down to recreate the “fitted” launch conditions that your darkspeed head happened to show up with. The downside here obviously being that with his naturally left path, opening the face more is going to turn his straight/baby fade ball flight into right going right. The heads having different stock lofts is much more plausible. I love what you’re doing with this channel. Reminds me of the old days of TXG when they would experiment more. The laakuma guy in the comments was a bit harsh and obviously isn’t a fitter so take his long winded rant with no grammar with a grain of salt. You are doing a phenomenal job with your channel and this video, always room for improvement, keep up the good work Ross! Do you happen to have a driver loft gauge? If so, please please test these two heads and throw the numbers in my comment. I’m super interested!

I loved the comparison and yes its also admirable to watch someone swing so fast almost effortlessley..well done Huxley. I enjoyed the comparison and agree the dark speed is by far the better looking club in its 'stealth' mode however as we all look at the roi on drivers i.e. distance vs cost, there seems to be marginal differences in performance and with huge discounts on offer for aerojet its a no brainer. Thanks for the video love your work❤

Love these kinds of reviews where its Prior vs Current Gen. Feel like there are alot of "gimmicky" reasons to "upgrade" these days and review like this cut the BS. Cool to see there were some noticeable performance improvements. I'm new to golf and actually just picked up a like-new AeroJet (standard) for $143 as a beater/backup/practice driver. My mishits tend to be Heel-side so really cool to see that it's extremely on-par with the Darkspeed for my use case. Seems like I made a good choice and really cool to see hard data backing it up!

It might be time to upgrade from my ol' reliable Cobra King F9. Love the look of that DarkSpeed

I've always loved cobra I'm new to golf and have secondhand copper forgetec irons and secondhand ltdx ls woods, love them. So under rated in the industry

Can you pls test generations against each other for brands Ie ltdx ls v Aerojet ls v darkspeed ls or g415 v g425 x g430 Currently play the ltdx ls , which off center is a great driver but love to see it v the darkspeed off center

While I do enjoy the look of the Darkspeed I think I will keep the Aerojet in the bag, I have several different weights I bought for the Aerojet that won't fit Darkspeed. Not worth $500 for one more yard and 100rpm less spin.

Hard for me to think of Aero Jet as old. I'm still playing SpeedZone. But Dark Speed sure is interesting.

Im confused by the distance. I have aerojet LS. My furtherest with 188mph ball speed was 320 carry and 342 total. Launch 9.2 apex 124mph On trackman. How did he achieve same with 12mph less. ?? Surely i should be 360s or 370s then ??

I have been gaming the LTD-LS, But after seeing the Dark speed LS in the Matt Blackout, I could not resist I bought one off ebay, It's the best looking driver I have ever seen, I put it into my Vanquish 4S shaft @ 44 inches 🏌🏌🏌

I got a brand new Aerojet for $300 so I’m sticking with that for a while. I’ve gained 4-5 mph ball speed over my old Cobra Radspeed XB. Very impressive.

I have the aerojet. I will try the darkspeed with the aerotec driver shaft to see how it is.

Is it better than the Ltdx Ls

Ross how do I book a fitting in with you bud, or can you do it? I play off 6 I want a new driver. Swing speed circa 100mph.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have someone with a swing speed of around 85 to 90 mph test the new driver releases. I would say that your average club golfer is going to be more relatable to that speed. Test all the models in the range and see what the results would be. Thank you in advance. Id be willing to bet that you'll have more views and more satisfied followers. Do what the other content creators are not doing and you'll grow a bigger audience....

Tried the darkspeed x against my aerojet and found no difference maybe just aerojet ahead 🤷‍♂️

I just order the new cobra dark speed 10.5 driver and the 3 wood and the 7 wood .. I wish you had a guy with slower club head speed ..I am at 90 club head speed

I don't know how, I went to a demo day for Cobra, I hit the dark speed X consistently efficiency above 1.55 Highest 1.59 My swing was 101mph, The ball speed 160mph Result on trackman

Not much more they can do to improve drivers now, especially for the ‘average’ golfer (unless they suddenly produce something with new materials). Proper fitting is becoming more important than ever, finding that head shaft combo that suits the individual swing is worth it’s weight in gold. I can’t understand why anyone would buy ‘off the shelf’ especially at the price mark. Spend a little more initially and save a fortune in the long run🤷🏼‍♂️

Should have cranked the Aerojet a degree lower to see where it would be (Since the flight was so high). Would probably be bombed with a much better flight.

Don’t know what to make of this. The only real difference was delivered loft was lower on the centered strikes. So higher smash. Not sure why. I don’t think the front back weighting is so different that it would explain it. The smash wasn’t better around the toe and heel. And we know smash can’t actually be improved in the middle. The big advertising on darkspeed is faster on off center. And better aerodynamics for faster swing speed. We saw no data to support their claims. The only difference in data was on center strikes but we know that isn’t a legit reason to upgrade. I’m left concluding there is no improvement. Would love to see the aerodynamic claims on the 8 degree darkspeed LS tested
