No, she got money for emotional distress. She still has to fight for her puppy and the Judge was kind enough to tell her how to go about legally doing so.

@@angelicrealtor1 she got the money and the girl is ordered to give the dog back within 10 days. So she's getting her dog back. If she doesn't then the defendant will Have a warrant out for her arrest for not returning the dog and she'll end up being jailed.

I had to temporarily rehome my dog for a few weeks, which was suppose to be a few months, while renovating and I regretted it every single day. I missed my baby everyday and they knew I was coming back for him. They fell in love with him and wanted to keep him. With how they were acting I went and got him and just kept him in the room the remaining time of renovating. I told them to keep the money I gave up front. Them folks wouldn’t answer my calls or text messages. I filed a police report and sent the picture of it to them and told them if this is the route you wish to take, I would spend every dime to get my baby back. Once the lady seen that, she called me back and I told her we was on our way to get my baby that day! So it is true that you can regret a temporary situation. I would never do that ever again!! I wouldn’t recommend anybody to temporarily rehome. It’s better to just go to a vet or groomer to have them board your fur baby instead even though it would cost way more.

No, she still has to fight for the dog legally. This case was only a lawsuit for emotional distress of the Defendant not returning the dog NOT to retrieve the dog. Judge Mathis was kind enough to give her advise on how to retrieve her dog through the Courts.

The Plaintiff NEVER used the words "rehome" but rather the Defendant. It may have sounded like this was what she was asking for in her social media posting. However, the Defendant even admitted that she was told she could have/keep the Cat ONLY.

@@angelicrealtor1 If you need a temporary place to put your pet, you put your dog in a kennel or pay someone to sit the dog. You don't say I don't know how long before I know when I might come back for the dog. Plaintiff may have never said in court that she needed to rehome the dog but she sure did mean that with the kitten. Not seeing the Facebook posts leaves a lot up in the air. But again, to expect someone to take in a pet for an unknown length of time would be rehoming it, not pet sitting your pet.

@@SamuelsReview Defendant wasn't one tho, she has taken rescues before but it wasn't stated that she was a daycare. And daycares as a whole is a whole thing legally speaking.

Not that I could do it myself, but I see posts on social media all the time where people are looking for temporary homes for their pets due to whatever situation they are experiencing. I would probably take in someone's pet short-term to help them out if I could, but definitely would have a hard time handing over one of mine to a virtual stranger.

I believe the bf didn't want the dog so she gave the woman the dog but said I MIGHT WANT IT BACK.
