I've been using the regular stuff for the last 5 years in my synthetic oil. It has really helped with my vehicles, i usually run it for around 3500 miles just cause of the fact it wasn't synthetic. I just used this stuff today thanks to your video, i am beyond happy they finally came out with a synthetic type marvel. I'm thinking I'll go about 4000-4500 miles with this stuff! The original stuff got rid of a lot of lifter tick in my 09 RX350 due to the prior owners lack of maintenance. With every oil change it gets quieter, and less gunk comes out! My 99 Camry was sludged beyond belief when i bought it, had low oil pressure. This stuff really helped that car quiet down and regain oil pressure as well! I'm sold on this product 🙏

@rentcatdt
@rentcatdt Жыл бұрын
@@TurnThemWheels I caught the lifter noise early. It would tick only when I first fired it up. At first I thought it was an exhaust leak since it would go away after just a few minutes of warming up. But when I looked for signs of leaks I didn’t find any so that’s when I started looking for other things and came across the whole AFM/DOD fiasco. But it took a few oil changes before it went away completely. The biggest thing I noticed was the oil cleanliness at oil change intervals. I would use a cheap oil like Fram or Supertech and add the MMO. I would watch the oil life monitor and change it at 50% the first few times. Now I let it get to 20% since we do a lot of city driving and also live on dirt roads. When I noticed that the oil wasn’t getting any lighter at the oil changes is when I prolonged the interval and switched to Valvoline Advanced. Supposedly the oil life monitor is a calculation of who you drive, idle time, etc. However oil is cheap compared to the alternatives

I have been using Marvel Mystery Oil in my 2000 Honda Civic Si in the fuel since I bought the car brand new. I put every mile on the car, and it currently has 318,000 miles, doesn’t burn any oil between the 5000 mile oil changes, and idles smooth as silk. In fact, when I have a passenger with me, they can’t believe the engine is running when we’re at stoplights, because it’s so smooth. Aside from Marvel, I put one quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer in the oil with each oil change, keep the valves checked/adjusted every 50,000 miles, and other maintenance item’s properly addressed when necessary.

I have a 2005 5.3L automatic 4x4 Yukon with 223,000 miles. It holds 6 qts of oil. I changed oil (10w30 conventional) and filter (walmart brand base filter) before a 6,500 mile mostly intestate trip from CO mountains to Mid-Atlantic to South and then back up to CO mountains. In the first 4,000 miles of trip Yukon burned 1.75 quarts of oil. Before making the last 2,500 miles of trip (uphill to CO) I added .75 quart MMO (conventional formula) to bring level to Full. It burned none in 2,500 miles to and around CO before I changed the oil/filter. So it went from burning 1.75 qts in 4,000 miles mostly downhill driving to not burning any in the next 2,500 miles of uphill and mountain driving. On the trip I averaged between 16.8 and 18.1 mpg, checked by gallons and miles tracking and compared to vehicles MPG gauge. The computer was very close, always within .1 to .2 mpg. Can someone explain this dynamic? I'm going to test it again on another 3,500 mile road trip soon to South and back to CO again. If I have to add a quart I'm going to add 1 qt MMO to see if it stops the consumption again.

I learned early on , possibly as a kid ,that marvel mystery oil was the real deal, not some snake oil from the era of prohibition. To this day, I'll add in a half a quart 300-400mi before an oil change, as long as it doesn't put it over full. Great stuff for a slow gentle flush without causing damage from under lubrication like solvents will.

Have not seen this product in stores since I don't shop much anymore, limit my shopping as much as possible, due to not being boosted. Of all the things I used in fuel, I found 2 stroke MARINE TC-W3 to work best. It queited lifter tick in 2 of my engines, and made things even smoother with my others. 2stroke MARINE TC-W3 oil has been used as an upper cylinder lubricant and cleaner for decades. It is designed to be burned in a combustion cylinder and leaves little to no residue. It is used at a 1 oz to 2 oz per 10 gallon of gas ratio. It does a great job of cleaning intake valves because of its high levels of detergent while lubricating the valve stems and seats. Since it burns without ash. It will not clog a catalytic converter. Over time, it can open up dirty intake valves and improve efficiency. It also acts as a lubricant for injectors.

"However, because the PAO base oil does not dissolve additives effectively, it is usually formulated with an ester co-base (usually diester and/or polyolester). The additives are soluble with the ester, and the ester is soluble with the PAO. Likewise, the PAO tends to cause seal shrinkage, and the ester causes seal swelling, so the effects are offset when both base oils are present. It is the ester that can cause problems when you change from mineral to synthetic."

Love your videos just started watching them! I was wondering do you suggest putting mmo in fuel often or something different like seafoam? I have a 2011 f150 5.0 with 170,000 and I just had to install a new engine due to valve issues. I run premium fuel once a month to try and keep things clean. I'm just curious your thoughts for my new engine.

Mmo in the fuel is a great choice and the new formula in the oil as well

I run mmo in the fuel of all my vehicles every tank. I follow label directions and never have problems with spark plug fouling catalytic converters clogging for everything else. For the record my 2006 Toyota Sequoia has over three hundred and seventy thousand miles on it.

Premium fuel does not clean any better than regular. Run the Mmo every tank!

I just picked this up today (Feb. 2, 2023) at the Autozone in HAZLETON, OA. I'm wondering if this wIill improve the VVT cold start chatter in our granddaughter's CRV... I plan on trying it.

This might be a good “light oil” for general use, - better than the original version?

Great news. Thank you Sir, what's your opinion running this on older engines. Have a 06 Sequoia with 4.7L V8 currently has 216,300 miles been using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 oil change every 3k

Honestly I don't think it would be an issue I think the truck might run a little bit better some people have said that they think that it might cause an oil leak on older vehicles I don't really think that'll happen

Awesome product! I’ll be dumping it in with my Amsoil next oil change. Is that literally 13 bottles of salt above your stove? Thanks Rich!

I run either Amsoil or Royal Purple in my 2018 Silverado, I still only go 5000 miles between oil changes, oil is cheap engines are not.

I use it in my fuel more than my oil. I put it in all my fuel cans for all my small engines and occasionally in my vehicles tanks. Is this safe to use in fuel? If not are they going to continue making their old formula?
