I just got a quote to do my dream workshop/hay/machinery storage building. Ground work and concrete floor with heated floor and a 450sq metre yard $120k, concrete panel walls, galvanized steel framing and trusses and roofing $360k. Not sure about electrical as dad is going to do that. But it's $40k to get 3 phase power to the building. Another $20k for concrete water tanks 50,000 litres. Building is 450sq meters 30 meters by 15 meters. It's divided up in 3 sections all sealed up between each and there are 4 high lift roller doors with 3 entry doors. And I'll add a fire suppression system for the exterior (bushfire zone requirement) $15k. So all up $570,000 Australian dollars.

Sounds like a really nice building! I’d love 3 phase power but that’s cost prohibitive here. Not enough demand for the power company to install it with our raking me over the coals.

@@mmrbeef it will be great when it's done, our current setup is a cobbled together set of steel framed tin sheds with dirt floors. Over here if you're willing to pay for 3 phase power you can have it. Kinda lucky that we have 3 phase power lines running through the farm and close to the where the new building will go. It isn't cheap to put on but having 3 phase 415V power will be be worth it in the long run

The concrete mass will help the shop stay warm ,then in the summer will help it stay cool if well insulated

This is one of the reasons I’m not “heating” it this winter. Even I was able to get everything done, there is too much concrete mass to warm up!

padding insulation to a shop ( even if you don`t heat it )worth it living in the north

I would pick choice number one for the mezzanine and it's cool you got the same little generator I do works great.

Lots of design work to do on a mezzanine. I need to consider several factors including concrete load.

Hey man I have a question for ya. I'm new to the 455s and pulled the k91 out to service it and put some new seals in. Draining the oil I had 7 chunks of metal come out that look like needle bearings. Any ideas of what might have failed? Operated as should and didn't have any grinding or abnormal noises before pulling it.
