With those symptoms, it almost sounds like there is a clog/issue with the cooling system. Radiator could be clogged up with grass/debris or the cooling system could have a restriction somewhere. Coolant sensors rarely go bad and it’s one of the sensors that has saved me a few times. Broken fan belt on a 455 and the PTO shutting off alerted me and when the screens got full on my old 1445 that happened. I don’t think I’d recommend a work around. How to do a work around? Easiest thing would be to plug a new sensor in and let it hang in the air.

@@mmrbeef thanks for the reply. It had a ton of grass and dust in the rad, under the seat and under the foot well, cleaned that all out. Filled with coolant, ran about 60% on the revs and it seemed to work ok all be it the weather was kinder for the dust, basically it rained 🤣. Seemed to get a few hours of it. The coolant is running out rather quick though, one minute it's full next it's at low? Any ideas on what to check would be greatly appreciated

@@mmrbeef how do I go about cleaning the screens, other than with compressed air, normally you can slide them out but can't seem to find anywhere on the 1445 to do that. Just hitting it with air from a tyre pump as on site and got myself a flat piece of steel to clean behing the rad.
