@ComiCBoY0003 ай бұрын
@SniPantsu That's not the point. You can also confederate Karl or Balthazar or you could just star as them. We should be able to START as Boris seeing as he's been in since Warhammer 1 and not have to use mods to do so. Though I do love me some mixu's.

I wish the dev team would ask help from 1st and 2nd game dev team about how to make the battle AI better, if they are even part of the company anymore.
@MAGS-ik5uj3 ай бұрын
I doubt they really could offer much in the way of help. I could be ABSOLUTELY wrong and I fully admit that, but I think the best way to approach the battle AI (even campaign AI) would be to wait until all planned DLC is released. Then I would hope CA could push out 2-3 quality of life and bug fix patches before calling it a day with warhammer 3. I feel like waiting until the game is content completed would help them get a sense of scope for the issues the game faces, and hopefully no more new content means no new bugs and random breaks in the game (which we have seen happen many times). It would be a pain to wait that long as the players, but as the developers I bet it would help them a lot. They could focus on the content itself, then polish everything up so people can enjoy for years and years if they so wish

This is a price dlc increase for dlc from SOC price. The only difference is you can pay for the faction separate. Even with 15% dicount on individually packs it come to $24. corrent me if I am wrong. So we are paying more for factions and there units then SOC. I waiting on bigger sell to come before getting any DLC. Still don't know if the $22.92 is a permanent discount or a temporary one
@desidareusable3 ай бұрын
SOC price is $25 so we are technically paying a dollar less if we buy it in a single pack.
@Kfo2213 ай бұрын
Does it really matter? The majority is just going to buy the Empire dlc anyways
@amvhate3 ай бұрын
@@desidareusable Yup, without the 15% dicount for additional packs. People are paying more for the dlc. This CA way making the player think they getting a deal, but paying the same price or more

As mentioned by the general, "Nagash" will hopefully be added but I'm also keen to see Neferata included (along with a generel update to the existing Vamp. factions mechanics).

I do think they would be an interesting mix of most/every faction and the zany lore can be rewritten a bit or expanded on like cathey was. My issue is, where do you put them? You would need three lords for people to take this seriously, but tilea and estalia are a big mess of beastmen, skaven and ogres with fey and belegar very close by who may not necessarily be friendly to a mercenary band. That's Franz level bullshit to deal with and I don't see it as a very viable start without major DLC creep, though not impossible. That they are mercenary bands makes me wonder if they even would stay there given the events supposed to be going on and the profit to be made elsewhere. I could possibly see one moved out to cathey on a job hired by a dragon sibling and I'm almost sure skeggi will become a third norsca lord one day. So where would you think of putting the remaining one/two lords?

@chaiv81823 ай бұрын
Yeah about that line that’s confusing, I think it means that they are going to be more focused and smaller with their content so that the scope of dlc doesn’t blow out of proportion, and this way they can keep pricing low. 🤔
@olekjaer863 ай бұрын
Changes (mini dlc) that should have been done in warhammer 1 . It would have grown the player base more (my opinion) .
@mrmerrit12163 ай бұрын
Rome 2 got occasional dlcs for a LONG time so them supporting for a long time is not out of the question, especially as this is their biggest cash cow
@TrapsterJ3 ай бұрын
Did they say when and where the actual reveal is? Is it meant to be a trailer for the DLC on the main channel covering the final DLC content and release date in a cinematic like they usually do, or is it something else?
@theineptgeneral83253 ай бұрын
Yeah I'm guessing that's what they'll do with steam release info and pre-order. I'd guess Tuesday

Its a price hike disguised as an expansion of choice. It seems like a slight of hand trick being played by CA, and is paving the road to microtransactions; net negative in my book.
@FujimoraPantsu23 ай бұрын
"our intent is to avoid creating something quite so big in scope so that we can help keep both the value and the price right for you". I instantly interpret that as they are gonna start shoveling really shit quality stuff at us but in tiny bundles hoping that customers will be dumb enough to get distracted by the lower price and not notice a huge decline in what we are actually getting.

Looking forward to this DLC to try out the empire in the realms of chaos campaign. Prefer the smaller map and shorter campaigns.
@ShinDig_Central3 ай бұрын
I imagine they're lacking the manpower to push out bigger DLC's. Most likely we're just going to have this, a Khorne DLC, a Slaneesh DLC, and then an End Times DLC with Nagash. As i saw someone else say, anything else after that is extra gravy.

Its been datamined and they stated we're getting the "mighty hotpot", and that they "weren't monkeying around." Layoffs might change things but they already stated today after said layoffs they were already "deep into pre-production" of the next DLC after thrones of decay.
@KS-PNW3 ай бұрын
@@nobey1kanobey i understand that but hotpot could just as easily be an empire unit or RoR (maybe tied to owning the Moot or something) . Monkey king could be just about anything. Even just a decision event. It's probably (hopefully?)a Legendary Hero/Lord but we don't actually know that.

When looking at a company like Paradox who supports their titles for over 12 years, I don't see what's stopping CA from continuing development on Warhammer 3. Games Workshop gives out their license to dozens of shit games every year. I don't see why they wouldn't renew the license considering this is their only moneymaker currently. Pharoah flopped. They need this game to succeed.
@00yiggdrasill003 ай бұрын
While I would like to see that and do typically like paradox games, there comes a point where the DLC count and cost required to get it all becomes a major off put to any new players. That there is a number of paradox DLC that make someone like me question their value doesn't help either. Now if they were to retroactively introduce the "piecemeal DLC per race" thing across all DLC and make it very obvious its an option I can see it being mitigated somewhat. Do you have any suggestions on this issue from your own experience?
@nobey1kanobey3 ай бұрын
@@00yiggdrasill00 I think if I was the leader at CA, I would first make every individual lord available in piece meal as you suggested. Say $5 or $7.50 a pop. I would also immediately implement an optional “access to every expansion” subscription model for $5 a month that gave you access to all lords. Hell, if they wanted to be generous, they could give you credit depending on how many months you’ve been subscribed allowing one to make your favorite lords permanent unlocks. Not that they’d be likely to do that, but I think these are the kinds of practices that would increase player count, lower barrier to entry, and increase good will. I would also start doing mini-race packs instead of multi-lord packs maybe on rotation so the content is more constant renewing interest and giving content creators more stuff to advertise and have early access to.
