Two major announcements!
My big house move has finally happened, and I now finally have a decent sized workshop!
I have created a second KZfaq channel so I can post updates and news without cluttering up my main channel!
The new channel is here:
/ @livewithaverysmalllat...
The first video update is a tour of my new shop, on completion day:
• New Workshop Tour
00:00 Introduction
00:26 New Channel Information
01:00 New Workshop Preview

Hello Al, Congratulations on finding a new home and workshop I am sure it must be quite a relief to have a permanent base. Take care. Paul,,

Thanks Paul, it's an enormous relief to be all in one place once again, rather than scattered across temporary homes, and various storage locations.

@@AdventureswithaVerySmallLathe Hmm, that's very much reliant on "what size" your projects are & the required equipment needed to do those future projects? Using my own scenario, Tattoo Machines are "palm sized" & so most of my other projects tend to be orientated to that size because my equipment was purchased with that scale & usage in mind.

Thanks! I'm deliberately taking it slow on planning the shop, so I fully understand the possibilities before I commit to any big spending.

It's been interesting watching you run into the limitations of small machines and seeing how you deal with them. I am constrained by both finances and space and small machines are probably what I am going to end up with, once I get around to making those purchases, so this has been useful to me.

Hi. I see you have the same lathe as me - EMCO UNIMAT SL (DB). I am also refurbishing my lathe, I have removed all the paint at the moment. Can you advise what color to paint the frame with? I ask because the frame is made of some Zn-Al alloy, to which not all colors may adhere well.

allow me to be brutally honest with a bit of constructive criticism, you dont have enough content in your main channel to consider it "clutter", you have only 4 videos posted going back one year, creating a second chanel is a mistake. i know you are trying to keep the focus of this channel on projects but im willing to bet most of your viewers wont mind, and probably would appreciate the videos you are planning for the second channel on this one, even if you consider them "less polished" or off topic
@andyb7963
@andyb7963 2 жыл бұрын
So what, they can just watch the new channel as well, bet you're fun at parties
@AdventureswithaVerySmallLathe
@AdventureswithaVerySmallLathe 2 жыл бұрын
The issue is that uploading short videos which don't have long term value to the main channel will drag the stats of that channel down, and could drive away subscribers who are there for the project content.
