Ok so here it is the updated build vid! The 1st few mins of the vid gets you straight into the build, gear, perks etc. The rest of the vid is to show how tanky, self healing and annoying the build can be whilst at the same time being able to dish damage out and kill people.
Will it kill everyone...no sadly that's the trade off of being so tanky but will you kill most people, 100% yes and if they don't die they run to the hills licking their wounds!
Special shoutout to Forgotten Shaw for pointing out to me the Purifying Heart perk as that was a game changer when its paired with the Healing Heart perk!
GEAR:
The main changes to this build come in the form of the Rings Purifying Heart and its pairing with the Healing Heart perk on earing. With the disease perk changes and Shirking Heals getting hit hard (tho its still good) these perks shine when you need it most. As for Healing Breeze it procs off of Vortex's heal and so we are able to get a lot of small heals every sec after using Vortex, Regenerating, food etc.
Darkvoid Chest with 4 Azoth Crystal, all heavy with a kite shield. With that in mind 4 Refreshing, 4 Shirking heals and 4 Enchanted Ward across the board. Shirking Heals may have been nerfed but any heal you can get is better than no heals and with the Ankh it's like having a potion every 10 secs. Enchanted Ward is a BIS perk since the game is very light attack spammy. If you dont have the Darkvoid Chest then you can run Tumbler Boots instead with 2 Azoth Crystal and 2 of the PvP track named Heavy pieces or failing that 1 crafted piece, 3 Azoth Crystal with the Tumblers.
If you don't like Shirking Heals then substitute it for Freedom, Vigor, invigorated or Health or 1 of the Conditioning perks like Slash/Thrust/Fire.
I like the Butchers sword (artifact)as the bleeds help turbo our heartrune up but if you don't have it or dont like it then you can craft a Plagued Crit, Keen, Leaping Strike or Attunement Sword.
For the Flail the Cleansing Whip is BIS! It has attunement, plagued strikes for a heal debuff and a 3rd perk of your choice which obviously goes to Smite as its hands down the best perk ever!
With the shield you want the kite shield, tho in the future this may change ;). The staggers, cd reduction armour etc all help to make this the best shield choice atm. You will want refreshing move 100% as you don't have it on a wep but the other perks come down to taste. For me I like healing defence and Mortal refreshment (-10% cd reduction on kill) but you could take another wep perk Vortex's perk being the ideal choice here for the extra healing.
Heartrune choice comes down to you. For solo play I enjoy Stoneform as the cleanse of all roots and movement impairing effects paired with the ring and earing Healing Heart and Purifying Heart perks make for a strong choice.
SKILLS/PERKS:
Some people will wonder why I don't use Happy Flails and the simple answer is if you're trying to auto after landing a flail skill then you're allowing the enemy a chance to break free from the cc chain you can employ. I will heavy after skills on healers to make sure they get the plagued strike debuff and have reduced healing but usually only if I know there's others attacking the target. Otherwise I prefer Spikey Impairment as we attract a lot of attention and just by being hit or blocking a hit someone takes dot damage and is weakened up to 3 times! That's 30% weaken for free for just being hit!
Leader of the Pack has gone and is now replaced with Oppressive Advantage. The Anointed and Haste all help to keep us mobile and improve our self healing.
Weighted Superiority is huge for cd reduction and as already mentioned we want to min our cds as much as possible so this is a must have perk!
Vital Suppressant is just a great tool to make us tankier for longer and when paired with Reinforced Vitality for a bigger health pool and Mitigated Protection you're just tankier for longer.
With the sword this is our damage and our ability to buff our grps damage so Leadership is a must for ourselves and others.
I will say that Vortex appears to be causing a speed bug atm and so you will have to relog from time to time but if that gets tedious or you can't live without Trip then the old build will work fine with the new gear except you don't put Healing Breeze on the ring, take a damage perk to boost dps - Champions Ring is an easy way to do this. Any questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer them.
Thanks for watching!
