I'm sorry but what happened to background check revealing he's a sex offender and shouldn't be around underage children. I'm guessing he was hired for "quote on quote" for a position he could be hired for even as a registered sex offender. I'm thinking he was really hired due to him being a Pastor. What some fail to realize is there are so called Pastors that are wolves in sheep's clothing hiding behind the titles of Pastors, Bishops,etc. I'm sorry but I believe people can change if they truly want to and with God's grace and mercy, however I wouldn't allow my minor child to be sitting under the ministry of a registered sex offender. They're still humans behind the robes and adorned cross necklaces and pins that still live in the flesh and are tempted by the devil daily as we all are. The Bible states to resist the devil and he shall flee. Nevertheless, some just cannot resist the devil especially if you've had or entertained that spirit before. I as a parent wouldn't attend a church nor be a member of any church where I have to worry if the Pastor aka registered sex offender is Shepard over his flock. God forgives and so can I but I would still have to watch and pray and be very careful who my children are allowed to be around. In this day and time, you just can't trust anyone but God.

A really rehabilitated person would choose to work with a different population than he violated, like adults only or prisoners that would f him up if he tried anything. Offenders usually get jobs with vulnerable populations, where they can continue to offend, and that’s what this pastor did. They should have realized that immediately!!!

Why did he have to go and seek a profession that deals with the same problem that he suffered with? There are many other jobs that he could have gone for. This alone is a little suspect. As my mom says “Every Saint Has A Past” as far as the employer goes they were aware of his past and thought that he changed his ways and took precautions with him due to his history. I think that he should have been working with ex-sex offenders who want to get help. Working at the place should have been a constant reminder of how his victims may have felt or are feeling after he sexually abused them.
