Matthews showing off his Jedi scoring skills last night. On the first he ripped one without even looking at the net. On his second, he just summoned the puck to bounce off his shoulder.

Second period was horrible, but other than that, great game! Matthews 50 and 51 before anyone else scored 40. The guy is on a tear! 60 I think is super achievable. Maybe 70+? Maybe, but we'll have to wait and see.

Hes already done 50 in 50. It wasn't the first 50 games but he did score 50 in a 50 game stretch ( like game 25 - 75) 2 years ago and he's about to do it again this season. For me, any 50 game stretch with 50 goals is just as impressive.

Last season Morgan missed a stretch of 16 games with injury. If you add this 5 game stretch without him, the leafs went 18-2-1 without him 😮 That's the difference between a playoff spot or not. Of course, there may be a few more games here and there without him, but those stretches are telling.

From the number of Leaf jerseys in the crowd ,Canadian tourists or Auston Matthews' family and neighbours make up 90+% of the spectators. Maybe Bettman should get some tee shirts printed with the Coyote logo, distribute them to the homeless and give them passes to the game so that there's some illusion that some Arizonans are cheering for their team. Better yet, relocate this team to Quebec City, where their are lots of folks who'll pay to go and cheer for an NHL team, and they have a top level, new rink to boot. P.S. I suggest printing some tees, because NHL branded merch sweaters are a C note each or more. DON'T WANT TO SPRAIN BETTMAN'S WALLET!

I hate to say this but I don’t think Samsonov is back in good form. It’s just that when the Leafs pull off a win they do it with overwhelming scoring. They can afford to keep playing horrible D when they go up by so many goals; the other team is just playing catch up.

We all know Barry Sanders but we probably would have to look up half of the rbs that won the super bowl, while he was in his playing days. Jim Brown never won a Super Bowl either. Going to be a tough one leafs will show up or it will be a disaster vegas is solid and consistent but if leafs pop off they are tough to stop depends on how they show up but interesting I think both teams are tied at 70 pts if I'm not mistaken

Honestly the roster is good, the coaching is questionable. 12 game loosing streak currently, before this streak they were 8th in the west.

Better off without Button Hook Reilly! Brodie and Lily are a top unit on defence. I hope Keefe is taking note, Button Hook Reilly should not get the ice time that he has been hogging. Brodie is playing way better without button hook! Keefe has to keep Brodie playing on his natural left side of the ice. Button Hook Reilly can go play elsewhere, this team is better off without him, did I say trade him?!

That's all BT Reilly does. Listen to the broadcaster, 'Reilly down the boards does a button hook', and everyone is wasting their energy going to the net without a pass. Trade BT Reilly. Too much ice time when otheres have proven they play better without BT Reilly. He's a great guy, but I wish we would play D first as a player. There's a lot of offense on this Leafs team. He's not needed to carry the team.

actually cheaper for Toronto residents to fly to Phoenix, get a hotel room, buy tickets to the game, and fly home ... than it is to buy tickets to a Leafs home game
