Vegas beat Seattle to stay ahead of us. We need to beat the Sharks as well as Seattle to win the re-match in regulation in order for the Oil to win the division title.

Avs fans there really brought it tonight... kudos to them. Avs lone goal was pretty flukey... Both Oilers goals were absolute SNIPES!! Skinner playing like a 10 year vet and not like a rookie at all. Oilers depth scoring has been like 5 levels above last year... ya love to see it.

As an Oilers fan, it's scary to see how good this Avs team is. Even with a depleted roster, they managed to keep it close and (almost) held our stars off the scoresheet. Not even the Bruins worry me as much as a healthy Colorado squad in the playoffs.

Oilers fan here. 2 soft calls against the avs, i will not deny that. That said, 1:0 goal was super-fluky and Leon did not play his best at all while i think, depleted Avs were at their maximum playing capability. Good game.

Doesn’t matter if the Avs are injured, they have to deal with it. They don’t get some kind of handicap in the playoffs if they’re missing guys. We’d better hope they’ve just been resting all of them for a playoff run cuz they won’t be able to overcome all of this when the playoff intensity picks up. I’m still blown away by how many injuries they had this year. I hope everyone learned something about how to take care of themselves after a long playoff run cuz this can’t happen every year. Of course they may not have to worry about that this year if those guys can’t come back…

@@Nathanielhiggerson66 yeah it’s just hard because they’ll have to knock off some rust when they get back. Landeskog in particular, if he’s able to make it back, will struggle. He’s a good player but I doubt he comes back like Forsberg after missing an entire year and leads the playoffs in scoring.

This was a boring game to watch, despite a great win for the Oilers! Clearly evident that both teams focussed on defence which we know is a good strategy, because most often teams who are strong defensively win Stanley cups.

Avs and Oilers are my teams. Glad nobody got hurt. I hate when they play each other, especially since both fanbases are kinda toxic towards each other. I don't know if I can survive another playoff series. 😅

Byram singlehandedly eliminated Colorado from contention to win the West. Even if Avs win out in regulation they won't match Vegas in regulation wins and will lose on tiebreaker

I know Bjugstad Knocked the loose puck towards the net and it then redirected off Brobergs skate in the crease and in. So I guess technically not considered a shot on net. But I don't think I have ever seen the NHL give a goalie a 1.000% save percentage in a 2-1 win. So if the NHL has him at 1000% 29 Saves on 29 shots. Is it technically Skinners second shut out? Lol

It's weird. Two extremely fast, talented teams with offense. That are super entertaining to watch, until they play each other. Then t's like they cancel each other out. They're not really entertaining games.

@@destroyerofkooda123 what a nonsense argument, the Avs beat Vasilevsky on a better team than Edmonton to take home the cup. The Oilers were a two man team last year, that’s why they got swept. You wanna act like the Avs had an easy cup run but ignore the fact the Pacific was a joke last year and the Oilers struggled to beat a Kings team that barely squeaked into the playoffs during a rebuild. And there’s no gloating, it’s funny how you guys act like it’s gloating when an Avs fan points out that it was a sweep when someone says “iF tHe OiLeRs hAd….” like it was just one play away from the Oilers taking it all.

The Avs fans pull the "we have 5 injured players" card. Fact is, this Oilers team is stronger than last season. If both teams meet again (depending on injuries), it will not be a sweep like last playoffs, but probably a game 7 situation (being bold on this lol). Both teams are playing well this season and it'll be very entertaining to see the rematch again.

So many avs fans coping so hard... "we had 5 injuries", the best ability is availability and if your team isn't healthy all season it means your players aren't as durable. Good teams find ways to win through injury, deal with it. Oilers in 6.

This was not the full-strength Colorado team; not even close. Avs will need to get heathy for the playoffs to have a chance. 'Some' of the Edmoron fans seem to believe they are already Cup champions (laughing)...

Wow, you're missing cale Makar, the only difference maker, and 3 other 3rd liners. 😂lol, not even close to full strength, my ass. You Whiny Avs fans always with excuses, huh?. And the Oilers didn't even play a good game. None of the forwards played their best with turnovers everywhere, and our defense scored both the goals.

Nobody thinks that. Anything can Happen in the Playoffs. 2019 all the #1 seeds were tossed in the 1st round by the #8 seeds. IN 06 THE 8th seed oilers faced the president Trophy winner in the 1st round and won. Went on to game 7 of the Stanley cup finals. Also, Oilers had an injury riddled line up too in the Playoffs and earlier this season. And we'll jack Campbell... They're both great fast talented teams. Who knows if they'll even meet again in the playoffs. But as of yet, neither of these teams has played each other while fully healthy this season.

That 'whoop whoop' sound that they play in Colorado when they score is so annoying. I'm glad I didn't have to hear it. Sounds like they're trying to be hip and trendy, when they're actually outdated and annoying. If I was a fan I would complain and ask them to change it.
