Why should they fire the GM? The GM made some solid acquisitions in the off season, most notable Kuzmenko for pennies. On paper it's a significantly better Canucks team than the one that went on a run at the end of last season. Bruce just couldn't motivate and control his players this year.

@@calvintech85 the management of the Canucks could’ve done it better than what they have been doing to Bruce. Pretty much for the past few weeks Bruce has known that he’s pretty much going to be fired and that they were going to get a replacement. yep, and that canuck goal at 3:46 should have been offside (at least by the standard of that oiler goal that got pulled back a few games ago). He didn't have "control" of the puck (again by the standard of the officiating a few games ago), and his right skate entered the O-zone before the puck... Shouldn't be surprised though.. NHL officiating makes almost no sense at the best of times.

Another day, another dub. 6 straight and back to 3rd in the division and 3 points back from 1st. And for all the talk about how Ovi and Matthews are the best goal scorers in the league, Connor still got to 40 goals faster than either of them have in their careers. And how about Zach Hyman eh!? Priced himself out of Toronto because Dubas and the Leafs prefer soft prima-donnas to hard workers, and he’s been nothing short of excellent. Has already hit a new career high in points, and is three back from his career high in goals (which he set last year). Solid outing from All-Star Stu with a .931. And that, of course, leads me to Bruce. The Canucks have strung this guy along for weeks now, and Bruce has taken it with about as much class as he possibly can. He’s cried, he’s made jokes, and still, the Canucks REFUSE to do the right thing and just tell him. The emotion he showed at the end of this game is absolutely heartbreaking.

@@dungeree7292 Well, yes and no. It's a Lemieux- light version that we're seeing in McDavid respectfully speaking. Mario was 65 pts per season better than his linemate in his first 6-7 yrs before Jagr/Francis arrived on scene. Afterwards he was 40-60 pts better than 3rd best scoring leader when played 60-70 games. There some resemblance in how dynamic both 66 & 97 dominate the game.

Косатки соберитесь. Третье поражение на своем поле. На Кузьменко, Петерсоне и тд (нападающих) далеко не уедешь. Защита, где защита? Вялая в свою зону возвращаются медленно. Болею за Вас. Давайте вперёд!!!

Hero to zero in the big coach chair, how soon management and the Execs forget. I suspect this is truly all about getting in full tank mode so they get a shot at Bedard in the draft lottery because the playoffs are a moonshot sitting 6th from the bottom in the league. Bruce is not the blame.

No, there’s another player on the Canucks named Peterson who’s been in and out of their lineup as of late. It’s a little confusing, eh? 😄

I am surprised Vancouver didn't challenge the empty netter. It's always fulfilling to see Vancouver fans cheer like they won the Cup that they'll never win and lose. The pretentious city gets what it deserves

So yes Miller gets a goal...BUT his lack luster play and the whole team following him down the path. It was shocking to hear some of the guys barely had one powerplay goal....you are not going to win producing like that. They need to drop it Miller....and get rid of Rutherford

The new coach should give him attitude until Miller demands a trade. What a self righteous idiot....each player doesn't care for the team like they said they do during the interview last night. If they cared they would have played better. Like I said alot of the players are dead weight. Why is Bruce the Scape goat. Rutherford is to blame for bringing this sorry bunch of misfits together

I feel so bad for Boudreau. He doesn't deserve this crappy treatment. I'm pretty sure he'll get hired by another team and make the Canucks' management look like the idiots they are.

We'll always cheer for you, Bruce, because you are one of us. It's sad that managers treat their employees like this here in Vancouver, in all industries. You'd think that we'd be a little more collaborative here but it's all about throwing the little guy under the bus in order to keep your own job and look good in your boss's eyes even though the little guy's are the only competent employees in the entire company.
