People saw those two 10-against games that Kahkonen played, and forgot how Blackwood stood on his head earlier on, stealing a consolation point from the Avs. Blackwood has been great from the beginning. Now, with Addison added from the Wild, the Sharks are putting things together.

Blackwoods kept them in games, every game he plays, not a sharks fan but always watch highlights and he’s been standing on his head for this team so far.

Which makes my mind instantly go to trying to explain his decision to do that...if there isn't enough clear communication, both on the ice, and in general... Or is confused in the defensive scheme, OR other people totally coasted and puck watched out their besides just Holloway... and that was totally the case...Draisaitl should be a leader out their, not a defensive liability. I'm speaking as a Jets fan who isn't crying for EDM either lol. Should be communicating and helping people out, leading when he's on the ice... Talking, helping the young guys stay in position... Even when I played basketball, football, communication is so important... I can only imagine how so in NHL hockey... I saw this in Leo durning last seasons playoffs against the Golden Knights. He was cheating even when the Knights had the puck in the Oilers zone by trying to get a couple steps ahead on a potential turnover. Only problem, there was no turnover, and his man was wide open and scored. That happened like 4 times. He is terrible at defense.

I did'nt buy into the hype we were Stanley cup favorites. At the begining of the season I thought we had a weaker team than last season. Upper management needs a complete overhaul, the old boys club hasn't given a damn in years, they know they'll make their money no matter what. I hate to say it, but I doubt Woodcroft will be around much longer, if he even lasts the weekend, and the same old cycle will just keep repeating. Either the team has to take a stand, or fans need to stop showing up, there's no other way they'll learn at this point.

The Sharks winless start was the longest since idk when, but probably sometime before my dad was born. They were 1 or 2 Ls away from breaking league records. They were like, 1 of 5 teams ever to allow 10+goals in back to back games. But the Oilers may take the cake for biggest disappointment ever, good lord.
