This man deserves an Oscar for that performance when putting on regular rollerblades. As if he’s never skated before. 😆

Not necessarily. After playing ice hockey for eight years, and then stopping for half a year due to the pandemic, I got roller blades last year and could barely even skate the first couple times I was on them. The difference between ice and roller, especially if you haven’t been on roller blades for years, is mind blowing.

@@bhoffs75 to each their own I suppose. I personally have no learning curve between the two. It’s like riding a bike. You pick it right back up. Also, I was specifically touching on the fact that all he did was switch the pair of rollerblades. Marsblade can say it feels like ice all they want but it still comes down to the fact that it’s an in-line skate.

@@bhoffs75 I have both hi-lo and marsblade set ups and the difference isn’t that drastic that you look like Bambi when you switch back to the regular set up. Lol hence , the Oscar worthy performance 👏

@@12bakd75 I just picked up rollerblading again after playing hockey my entire life as a kid of 4 to high-school playing year round most years haven't skated in 11 years but I picked it up again like nothing like you said it's like riding a bike you don't forget didn't know you can put the mars blade on regular ice hockey boots though might have tried them but I got some mission inhaler wmo3 for 200 and couldn't pass them up but might try the marblades I know most vids are bs once they put on regular blades like they can't skate at all like they're pros come on but are they any better then regular blades or just a little nicer? Still might try them out

There was one by smarthockey (the guys who make that heavy hard plastic balls for stickhandling still being sold). They made a couple of training products in the mid 2000's ( including cd-roms with Vinny Lecavalier demonstrating off-ice training roller skating and shooting drills) and an ice-like feel chassis which if I'm remembering correctly had a similar mechanism the marsblades use, but by the time I heard about them the website was out of stock and they never made any more. There was another product in the 90's I can't even remember the name of (i think the wheels were arranged not really in a straight line but a few mm l/r of the ones in front of/behind them) which I've heard some things about years later but they seemed to go out of business before the new millenium.

WOW! Guys look at that an NHL skating coach can barely skate with "regular" Rollerblade's. Guy's/Girl's dont fall for this marketing B.S. Marsblade pays all these Social Media personalities for their "endorsements" OR at minimum gives them free product. Before you purchase Marsblade, ask ANYONE that you know (personally) whom is a skilled on-ice hockey player regards their opinion on Marsblade and no doubt you will hear that they feel NOTHING like being on-ice. The sizing is off from what Marsblade says. They are very heavy. The "rocker" makes you feel like youre on a skateboard (not on-ice). They are overpriced. Etc. I played in the OHL (lots of on-ice experience) got suckered into the Marsblade marketing, spent 400 sum dollars on them (during Covid lock-down) and what a waste. Comparatively spent $80 bux on the Bauer Vapor Roller-blades and though they too did not mimic the on-ice feel (Bauer, never said they would), they sure were better than the Marsblade in EVERY way possible.

@@zo_7860 Im so sorry man. My bad. Ill delete my previous comment. I appreciate your comment regards my Pops. I was blessed though to have a Mother whom more than made up for my Pops. I feel bad for them kids out there whom have neither a good Ma or Pa. When I was a young man, playing Bantam, our Captain was a VERY special talent and an even better young man, (Brandon Hill). He was native and sadly like a lot of natives (even today) they dont have all the "other" things one needs (besides talent) to make it up and ahead in this game. I.e he, very much like myself, came from a troubled home. Difference between us though was, Brandon was something extraordinary when it came to his Hockey skills. I digress. You know, I must say, finally defeating my father into submission, made me fearless in life. Alas, what fear can a man have after defeating the biggest monster he knows? In even the worse of spots in life, we have the choice to turn a negative into a positive. In life there are those, whom will choose to find any excuse, not to succeed. And conversely there are those, who in spite of every excuse, choose to succeed. From the moment a child develops conscious thought, life becomes a matter of conscious choices. A single wrong choice, can alter ones life forever. So, as Cus D'Amato once famously said, "Remain, dedicated, interested and without distraction." In closing, Triple A Rep. IS indeed skilled hockey. Keep pushing, higher and higher. Remember your off-ice training too, both mental & physical and therein diet too. Everything works better, when you find synergy within all you are doing to achieve your desired goals. Regret for an attempt not made, IS arguably the worst pain some men carry with them their whole lives..remember that. And so, if in case you dont make it..well when you look at yourself in the mirror one day, at least youll be able to say, "At least, I tried." "Never be paralyzed, by fear or failure, or youll never push yourself." - Arnold Schwarzenegger. God bless you and yours, always. Good luck, Kid! P.s - If your wondering what ever happened to Brandon? Last I heard, he was in and out of jail, brawling.

@@agioni99 thats really tragic to hear about brandon. Thank you for the kind words. I will push myself to the fullest. I’m so happy to be blessed in a situation with two loving parents by my side. I will make use of my advantages. Sometimes I feel like that my time is running out and I won’t make it big. One of the main reasons that’s made me feel that way is when I see young stars like Connor bedard doing such crazy things at 15 years old. But hey, at least I tried. At the end of the day it’s not all about making it big, it’s about the experiences you make. Still, my mind is focused on making it big because I need that mindset of it’s all or nothing. Anyways I hope you enjoy ur day, your words will definitely remind me of my end goal.

@@zo_7860 Yes, Brandon's story is a sad one. Just think of ALL the possible "Brandon's" in this world. But, judging by your words, you already have. Thus why you shared your appreciation and gratitude for the blessings you do have. Some grown men, go their entire lives without the appreciation of life, you as a young man already have. Thats very honourable. And in life Hockey player or not it will be your personality, attitude and character that define you. As per Bedard, let him be the Star he is. You see, in order to make it Pro whether it be here in North America Or Europe, you dont need to be a "Star." You only need to be skilled. That said, not every Pro has Super Skills, as some guys are Character Guys. Life is about evolution...keep evolving as a player and fit "whatever" role needs to be fit to make it up. And hey by doing so, lets say you make the CHL or the AHL or Europe Pro, Etc. these are still great accomplishments. Dont think too far ahead. Instead simply think game to game. IF you are doing your absolute best every single game, thats what matters for today and your future. If your doing your absolute best every single day, thats all that matters because there is nothing more than that you can do. The "Serenity Prayer" by Niebuhr, states - "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference." And yes, wise words from you regards, "Mindset." As, often it is our mindset, which propels us or paralyzes us in life. In closing, remember regards Hockey, that success in the CHL doesnt necessarily equate to success in the NHL. The examples are many. The biggest example that comes to mind would be, Alexander Daigle. Heck, even look at Lafreniere, whom ripped it up in the CHL, but man he didnt do too much with the Rangers this year. Goodnight, Kid. You seem like an intelligent, mature, decent young man. Im sure wherever you end up in life, youll do well.
