If you think he’s not going to do his own version, you’re wrong. We’re looking at the future of hockey breakdowns here with Steve. Let him branch out on his own snd do his own dangits and hat picks” he could call them Steve’s screw ups and Steve’s highlights. And it will be the same thing.

Gonna be honest, I'm a Vegas fan and I was sitting on my couch and laughing while going "Too many men!!" at the end of that game before promptly getting on with the celebrating. Made me smile to see you bring it up too. Thanks for all the Dang-Its, Steve!

A bigger “Dang-it” than giving up 9 goals in Game 5, IMO, is leaving Bobrovsky in the game for all of them. Maurice should’ve gave him the hook after 4-1 or even after the 2nd period ended.

Yes I 100% agree. I'm a Knights fan and even I didn't think it was fair to Bobrovsky to leave him in goal. Nobody deserves to have the fact that 9 goals were scored on them follow them throughout their career, especially when it was the defense's fault.

Panthers meltdown in game 5 was a long time coming. They were exhausted, mentally and physically by then, Vegas had their number all along. Not to mention, Knights a much better team!

I'm going to miss dang its and Hat picks as well. Wish he would do something similar on SDPN than his regular Podcasts. They tend to be boring as they spend way too much time talking about the Maple Leafs and not enough about other teams. Yes he's a Maple Leafs fan boy, but the Leafs don't give him much for content when they can barely get into the playoffs as it is. Especially after placing top 5 in the regular season and then barely exist in the playoffs.

@@jonr5847 Most likely Sportsnet owns the rights to that name and type of specific content so if he were to continue it the dang its and hat tricks would have to be altered and used in a different format of program.

The funniest part about the Kane 2010 goal was when the Flyers coach said after the game "The guys were out there playing then all the sudden for no apparent reason a Blackhawks player skated by our bench waving his hands as if he'd just won something." lolol

Dang-its and Hat Picks were a family staple for us. My 11 year old son was upset to hear it ending. It helped us non-hockey parents learn the fun/ love of the game with our little hockey player. You have life long fans that look forward to seeing whats in store next.

I'm still amazed by the 2nd goal. The whistles for coveredpucks have been so confusing this year. Ottawa/ Colorado play, this goal, Florida/ Bruins in game 4. All with refs no longer being able to see the puck but waiting FOREVER to blow the whistle. I remember goals being called back from refs saying 'I was going to blow the whistle' and calling goals off, to now blowing whistles and still counting goals 😂. Terrible reffing and suspension designation this season on all accounts. Cheers Steve all the best in the future endeavors.

15:34 something similar had actually happened and I witnessed it. It was a gold medal game for 2013 IIHF World Championship Division 2A between Croatia and Belgium. Croatia was leading 6-0 with 3.5 seconds to go and started celebrating, goalie had half of his equipment off, there were gloves and sticks everywhere... and then the linesman James Kavanagh called the icing. What happened next was 5 minutes of NOTHING while everyone was collecting their equipment and getting ready for a faceoff and to play those 3.5 seconds remaining. And then it all happened again after the final whistle.
