Niche 80s Toy: Pouche the Assistant to the Easter Bunny

When you think of the 1980s, you may think of 80s music hits, new wave, hairspray, and BOLD colors! But what about the toys?
I’ve been collecting all sorts of toys from the early 2000s and before and can’t wait to showcase this niche find: Pouche the assistant to the easter bunny. Released sometime between 1987-1989 this toy has a history of being redesigned and adorable.
I found him at an antique shop, with 2 other ones new in box.
I do want to reiterate what I said in this video: I love this stuffy and I think it’s adorable. That’s why I bought it. I do offer some critiques on the story (message and premise) because I just gotta do some creative analysis of any content I consume. Gotta give that English minor a workout!
I see that so much love went into it this toy, and that some of his legacy continues to be maintained and updated.
All-in-all, I’m a Pouche fan. Especially a fan of the modern(ish) reworking of the premise.

Its Amazing how those toys still look like new, The Cabbage Patch doll was so famous when it came out in the 80's, my own sister Craved one when it first was released, i could understand this attachment and nostaljia.

The ONLY things I keep in the box are pop figures. It just makes them easier to store and display 🙂

i used to have one. i loved him. i need to reread the story now. i remember getting into my mothers makeup to try it out / she got mad and tore his head off and threw it into the fireplace. My collection, depends on what it is some tapes and CDS and vinyl I have one boxed and one opened. Usually I open things Some figurienes that I don't really care about playing with and just want for the look i keep boxed.

Hmmn, The Thrift Store Fairy . . . maybe something to roll with, lol. Especially with the toy videos. As for Pouchy, very cute! I wonder if these would’ve been given out thru the medical field (maybe children’s hospitals) to kids directly, due to the subject matter. Educational toy, if you will.
