Joshua Block better known as World Of T Shirts is a famous tiktok lolcow. Starting with awkward dance videos in his grandpas house, Josh has escalated into becoming a full blown alcoholic wandering the streets of New York. This is the story on how he ended up here.

Guy with ASD here; op is right. A big reason why a lot of people with autism turn to the bottle is mainly as a way to handle the stress of a world that you can’t understand. However, this is obviously not a good way to release stress, especially if you may have medication in your system that helps you get through the day, as well as other factors. It’s important to not only drink responsibly, but find alternative ways to relieve stress.

The average person always needs at least one thing or excuse to hate/harass someone. I never felt respect for people who hurt others and hide behind a community who gaslight the victim. But hey, high school never ends with these people. Whoever enable them is a scumbag in general. People with 'tism already have it rough (missing out on key social milestones, bullying, workplace gossip etc). Just live and let live. Random people claiming moral superiority while jumping on others in packs are no different from animals. There are actual awful people like DSP that I can't defend, but Cobra etc. are just victims of their environment and genetics.

When I was in high school, there was an autistic guy who acted a bit like WOT (minus the animal cruelty and alcoholism). He was awkward, loud, and a little annoying, but he was a sweet kid. I had a few classes with him, and in one, there was a group of boys who would always try to mess with him and make him upset, but they tried to be subtle so that they wouldn't get in trouble. The guy following WOT around really reminds me of those boys. It's literally high school bully behavior.

I think you can still laugh at (not with) someone and wish them success. There are several lolcows that I'll laugh and gossip about them but it's nothing personal. Even if they have a disability but that's not the focus because it's something they can't change. Looks, weight, and financial status can be changed (to an extent).

⁠@@jeremychicken3339 might just be me but I don’t think case is a lolcow anymore, he’s gotten a pretty significant fanbase of people who like watching his gameplay, and he is pretty skilled at the games he’s playing. take his dti gameplay for example. for a relatively new player, he’s VERY good and on par with the older players of dress to impress, who have been playing since the start of the game. like yeah he did start out as a lolcow and his fans at the start did follow him because of his status as a lolcow, but with more and more people recognising him as a good gamer, more and more fans of his are fans because of his personality and gaming skills. ykwim?

honestly, the comorbidity of alcoholism and autism is so depressing. you've got something which makes someone awkward, shy, and out of place in many situations, and a drug which is well known for bringing your walls down and undoing all of those social issues temporarily. tack on the unawareness of social conventions, such as how to act correctly and respectfully when you're intoxicated, or appropriate times of day to be drinking in the first place, as well as alcoholic drinks being so accessible, socially accepted and in such a range of tastes that very few sensory aversions aren't catered for, and you have a recipe for really nasty, difficult to stop habits. i've never considered myself an alcoholic but even as someone who has lower support needs than WOT seems to have i've fallen into that trap of drinking to stop all these issues i experience, no matter what time of day, or how much alcohol it'd be appropriate to drink at several points in my life. it's just sad seeing another autistic person gradually killing themselves through what seems to be an effort to just break those issues down that he's had his whole life, as well as the newer ones he's found after being in the public eye

Hey, just wanted to say same. I wouldn't say I have an addictive personality but my drinking habits do increase wherever social demands conflict with my nature. I'm self employed now so I can go outside at off peak hours, don't have to drag myself out of focus constantly for my boss's or colleagues whims, don't have to be in a bright, chaotic environment and analyse my body language and tone constantly to keep up with work politics. I rarely drink or feel the need to take substances at all these days, but when I had a "normal" job and a regular friend group that liked to hang out together after work, i'd need to drink a lot just to prevent myself burning out and going non verbal, which would simply cause everything to collapse. A lot of health conditions i've had since i was a little kid have even fallen off the radar now. I hope things are going okay for you and if they aren't, I hope you know there's a chance.

@@morgantorium thanks for your kind words :) i’m in a great position now. i’m not one of those preachy potheads but cannabis does wonders so alcohol is hardly on my mind except socially. it’s just not many people seem to consider that autism and substance use disorders are unfortunately a match made in hell. WOT is falling off hard, as do several other autistic individuals that end up being in the public eye. i think even chris chan used to drink a lot at some points, and i believe in sonichu public intoxication was grounds for jail, as well as their constant preaching against it until they took the plunge and tried a long island iced tea in ‘chris’ big night out’. obviously the ones in the public eye are probably gonna be a lot worse off since it’s a whole different world of issues but it really shines a light on how poisonous unhealthy substance use can be for autistic individuals edit: not for the faint of heart but i think alcohol was one of the main reasons for chris chans ‘self inflicted taint wound’ (VERY strong content warning if you want to look it up for whatever reason)

I know were all here to oggle at Josh, but i think a special derogatory shout out should go to all the losers that hover around him. Basically just the usual lolcow stuff, the internet bullying some poor autistic guy and it all getting massively out of hand from there. However like Daniel larson or chris chan, there's no argument that he "deserves" what's happening to him. As someone on the spectrum, I find the treatment of josh by the online community (and the people of new york) disgusting. There is a fundimental lack of perspective from the general public in these videos that I've never seen before. These people are ruthless to josh dude, he's CLEARLY on the spectrum, even if you don't know about autism, it should be clear he's mentally impared in some way by his speech patterns/manurisms and to like... not harass him/to cut him a little slack when it comes to not always following social conventions, but nope, shouting at him, following him, stealing his hat, etc seems to just be a big laugh to tiktok. Also it's sadly very common for autistic people to succumb to addiction, these videos just show why, when you live in a world that you don't feel like you belong in, it's easy to want an escape, I can only imagine it gets 1000x worse when you're famous and constantly being harassed for photos and being trolled etc. Frankly I worry for josh and I hope his situation gets better.

Worldofalcoholtracker was how I got word of him. As a reformed alcoholic, it broke my heart. Everything and everyone around him seems to be enabling his self destruction and will lead to him dying of liver failure before 30. Pray he gets the help he needs 🙏

As an Aspie, alcohol had me by the fucking throat for like 2-4yrs. I wouldn’t be as awkward and things felt like “smoother” but the reality was I was just piss drunk at any given time and couldn’t see how bad I was.

As someone with a family history of ASD and ADHD i can not process the thought of Josh being out in the wilds of NYC... this is straight out of a horror movie for ASD. Hell yes gonna enjoy this after work Edit: After a couple fat dabs and some honey bbq wings this was the perfect end to my night. Really great research and you covered all the key topics I feel are important to Josh's story. The bluegill incident and his public freakouts are definitely disturbing and annoying but he definitely doesn't fully understand the consequences behind his destructive actions, like drinking or yelling in public, and should be in the care of adult protective services. With that being said, I agree with you that groomers who take advantage of vulnerable adults (Ryan the Lion, Josh) like Michael Quinn have a special place in hell. I think there's enough info and bad things he's done for you to do a future video on him. He definitely has an interesting backstory as you touched upon and there's a lot of evil stuff he's done: he's a racist, misogynistic, narcissistic chronic liar who enables Josh's drinking problem, he's been racist to irl people on live and dropped the n-word-hard-r bomb a couple times, and livestreamed a passed out girl who was most likely drunk. There's rumors about even worse allegations but they are just that so I won't delve into them but let's just say it has to do with his affinity for young women and the high school he was a substitute teacher for. Love the video and look forward to your future lolcow coverage per usual 🫡
