Ok as I said in my last 2 videos and community post niffty was going to get a very different redesign so please PLEASE dont tell me she dosnt look like herself I already know

I’m assuming the red is because “It’s hell and hell is red” even though orange and gold exist. Diverse colors can make others stand out. If you just looked at the color pallets, they all look the same

I feel that Vivzie (and/or her team) has a huge problem with putting limits on herself. It's clear she has her favorite colors, patterns, shapes, traits etc. and push them even if it deprives characters of their uniqueness and blurs out references. I think it's very important in art to leave your comfort zone and challenge yourself to progress and make something really good and fresh. I like some of her designs but I litteraly can't tell which pale red/pink slender figure with sharp teeth was supposed to be a deer, a bug, from 40s/60s/90s, what personality traits are we supposed to know from their looks, what are their preferences, tastes, how they want to be percieved by others? Character design holds so much power and I think it's not fully utilized here Edit: sorry for the rant, I had this thoughts bottled up for a while

Preying mantis is a great pick since they eat the husbands also she looks like one of the bugs from my life as a teenage robot I like it

I hate how Viv managed to make the redesigns of the characters even more red than their pilot designs. I like your take on redesigning the all the characters. Your Vaggie redesign is my favorite.

I want to make a joke that throughout the progress of the redesigns, Vizi just wore rose tinted glasses for the whole thing. Not only would that be funny on a literal sense, but also a metaphorical way as well since Vizi is really way too comfortable with only using red for nearly everything.

It really does suck how much Nifty is overlooked, she’s honestly really fun and cute and way cooler then Husker. I mean Alastor literally pulled her out of the fire, and is obviously closely tied to him. And everyone LOVES Alastor, so show her some love too!! She honestly has a really cute design, and while I do prefer the original design to her new one, I don’t really mind either. But honestly after you showed that picture of the Hazbin characters on the background of the hotel, yikes that looked bad.. It really was a blur of red and white, and man they REALLY love Red and White. Like I GET IT, it’s Hell, but even the background characters have some other colors. If you want red on every character, at least have an accent that complements the character that THEY only have, or at least is limited. BUT!! I love your redesign a lot actually, the hair and arms are really cool, especially the little blue lines. She’s not as cute as og, but she definitely feels like a demon in hell, and that’s the best thing you could have done for her.

I like it. This Niffty re re-design looks unique and different. How about a redesign of the 3 V's ( Vox, Valentino, and Valvet), it would be interesting to see a redesign for them.

I adore the 50’s housewife aesthetic, deffo enjoying this overhaul of Nifty’s character design. A lot of people don’t understand how important character design is to a show’s world building, and not enough credit is given to the people who design them with that in mind. Honestly though, sticking with the red, white and black is pretty detrimental to the overall appeal of the show. It’s so mediocre to have the same colours all the time, like c’mon, how is anything supposed to stand out and catch your eye if it all just melts together?

As someone who absolutely adores bugs, the way you designed her is just beautiful! I hadn't the faintest idea that she was originally based off of a sort of bug, so seeing this really makes it feel like justice was served. Her face really gives off this alien creature vibe, and it's executed really well! I honestly adore the colours you gave her, as I find working with colours a bit difficult. It's really unique and honestly just really beautiful.

I really love the new design, the overall improvements are 100% better than the "redesign", especially the colors! I personally love greens and oranges together. I do kinda miss the "squished fast bitch" energy that OG Nifty had, but I still get a kinda manic vibe from your design too

Bruh, I hate how overlooked Niffty is! When her design was released, almost NOBODY paid any mind to her! They saw Keke and freaked out about her, but paid no attention to Niffty. She needs more love!!

Vivzie has a problem with not being able to design a character and MAKE IT LOOK LIKE WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE, apart from husk and maybe angel i would have never guessed what everyone else was supposed to be, so WHY TAKE AWAY THE ANTENNAS she has the chance to atleast gave a hint to what she was supposed to be but she didn't and I just don't understand why :,). Out of all the redisigns nifty is one of my least favorite with my least favorite being vaggie (i know she came out months ago but i'm still REALLY salty). >:( That being said i honestly love your take on nifty, she looks like an hyperactive alien and i love it :).

She looks so much creepier, love it! Also, I had no idea Niffty is supposed to be Japanese, just she really isn’t a favorite since no one talks about her as much. And since she’s supposed to be Asian, yeah, best to have changed her face color from yellow because yikes…

I like the unique design you did to redesign her, like the other redesigns you did for the rest of the hb crew it helps show their personalities more and the time period that they died from

i didnt know that niffty had been changed to be japanese so i originally was a bit mad that they changed her skin colour to be white because alot of the other characters in their base skin/fur are white/grey or monotone, but now learning that information i 100 percent understand why they changed her skin colour i just wish they could of changed it to be a different colour like how you changd it to be green to tie in more with how shes a bug however i dont understand why she couldnt of gotten her own picture, as niffty is already so undermined as a character even though she is extremely interesting

I was looking at the new viv re-design and I couldn’t tell why the skin looked weird. I finally realized why. Her skin is pink and more vibrant then her BRIGHT PINK HAIR!!

Niffty is my favorite character in the whole cast. And I must say: FINALLY! Someone gave her justice! She pops so much more! It shows how interesting she is!

I like the fact that you chose a mantis not only because of his alien-like appearance but because it kinda matches to the fact that niffty is tend to get crazy for a man but they run away and female mantis eat their partner in the end cuz like- "scary them away" type of thing? (god I'm awful explaining myself) and also the cockroach to the secret nasty side of hers pretty nice add: I also feel pretty sad with the fact the she's ignored

I love that she's a bug in both concept and in your re-design, since she really like cleaning, and this is supposed to be Hell, her being a bug must be a very hard punishment to her, since she probably would see herself as the embodiment of dirtiness. Kinda like Alastor, being a deer hunter in his past.

Personally I prefer the Helluva designs. They have way more variaty in colors and looks in my opinions. Same with the background color scemes.

I understand the had to change her skin, but I stand by my statement that she looks like a clown. But also really like the concept of nifty, like I like her more then I should, I was in love with her pilot design. And honestly your redesign of her was not at all what I was expecting, she looks a lot taller then the original, but I really love it! The way you were able to communicate her personality much better then what is in the show is something I adore, the color choices seem so random and yet perfect. Keep up the good work this was beautiful! 💗

She looks great! I love how you based her on a praying mantis, that's so clever! The Alien theme is a interesting choice, it caught me off guard at first, I didn't realize Niffty was supposed to be based based on aliens as well, and I like how you made that shine in her design!

Amazing as always I think what annoyed me the most of Viv's redesign is her change in eye color. When she had the mostly orange with a small red ombre her and angel where among the few with vibrant eyes. Which it could represent that they are a few who aren't to far gone and can be redeemed. (Which would be a really neat.)

Personally for me, I actually do like this version of Nifty compared to already finished version. Well that finally takes care of everyone least they still feel like redesigning Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious?

I honestly had no problems with the original redesign but this new one is So good and different You honestly teach me so much about making character designs more creative and relevant to the character themself, I'm thinking of doing my own redesigns now so an extra thanks for getting me out of art block

Niffty used to be my favorite design among the main cast. However, after they dropped her re-design, i don't have any favorite design anymore :) And yeah, it's sad to see how overlooked niffty is. She is really interesting and has so much potential. Hope they won't ruin it after the show's released. Seriously, the new character designs look awful. They are not even easier to animate, as fans claim. They blend into the background even more than before, they don't say anything about the character's personality or background. They are literally painful to look at because of the amount of bright red. Praying for baxter🤞 Tbh i fell like It would have been much better if Vivz had just removed some stripes/dots/hearts from the original designs. They looked fine, not perfect, but acceptable. At least not as bad as new ones lmao. Sorry for the rant, didn't meant to do it hnstly.

Wasn’t sold on the redesign at first- felt the green was a bit to jarring of a change. But it definitely fits more close to her description. Up until this video I had no idea Nifty was a bug/alien demon hybrid. This design definitely helps her stand out more in the best way possible

I don’t know much about fashion and stuff, but watching your videos I’ve seen how much they dropped the ball on all of these designs pretty much. I love looking at different clothes from different eras so it made me sad I wouldn’t be able to see true versions of their decades fashion.

Im not gonna lie all of the redesigns besides maybe alastors cause he barely even changed straight up sucked and when I saw nifftys it just solidified that way more - but this is a major improvement in my opinion!!! I've followed hazbin for several years now and I had no clue she was even meant to be a bug because of viv not only barely mentioning her but also her design reflecting no bug qualities whatsoever so I love the fact that you weren't afraid to go full bug mode on the redesign lol The change of her silhouette to coincide more with the stereotypical ideal woman of the 1950s was such a good touch and I absolutely love the complementary colour pallete like in the final image showing the comparison it makes me so sad because the colours stand out so much more in the redesign and it just makes me wanna shout at viv for loving red white and black so much 😩😩 The redesigns were the best opportunity to take risks to really make the characters stand out from eachother but it just never happened and I hate the fact that people just brush off blatantly bad character design by looking to the lore and saying 'oh its because they work at the hotel so they need to look good together' when no its just bad character design in spite of the show?? Thank you for giving niffty the attention she deserved tho because like goddamn no one acknowledges her its so sad-

Clicked on as soon as I got the notif! Edit: WOW! Niffty looks so unique! Her outfits make her feel like she belongs, and her new skin makes her look like a bug-like sinner (which I didn't even know she was with her pilot design). I also like how much smaller you made her feel, like an actual bug

Honestly I know it's an unpopular take but Niffty is one of my foorite characters in the show. I wanted to learn more about her right after the pilot dropped yet alas I found little to nothing. I love the re redesign art though. I think it really fits the description the way it should- plus I love the orange. The orange in her eyes was one of my favorite features to see it on her dress accompanied by the bug like features was really pleasing :]

Had absolutely no idea Nifty was based off bugs or aliens, your redesign shows that inpiration off so much better! Will admit, I do miss her tiny stature. A lot of the cast is tall and lanky and I think Nifty should stay small

It kills me how Charlie and everyone else get merches and shit but Niffty gets nothing despite her being part of...i don't know. The MAIN cast? How does that make sense? Your supposed to keep up and care for all of your character. Not choose one over the other. Some Niffty fans would kill to AT LEAST have a plushie of her or something! Yet, she gets no attention whatsoever. Niffty is more entertaining than Husk and Angel Dust, yet they're popular.

To be honest, she was my favorite character for a while, but because nothing came out of her and everybody else was given angst and stuff. I basically gave up on her.

I love bugs. And I didn't even know Nifty was supposed to be inspired by an alien bug. That's such a waste ToT she deserves better. Your redesign did a great job at bringing in that bug asthetic, and I love it!

I will say, Nifty's design made me disppointed. Why slap an apron on it? Edit: As I saw the design, I really like her new design. I didn't know she was based on a bug. I did see she was bug-like, but not enough.

Finally. A different set of colours for Niffty other than the painful red, white and black. And now she looks more like an alien rather than a mini-cutesy cyclops. Now I wish this was the actual design.

I actually like your design more than her original and the new one because it's not only time period correct but it also just screams Niffty. I honestly think this gal is a truly horrific killer possibly. I'm kind of assuming that because why else (other than wanting her to do the housework possibly) would Alastor keep her around. I feel like he most likely keeps both Husk and Niffty around as secret bodyguards or something, especially since he's an overlord and probably has hundreds if not thousands of enemies out to get him just to steal his power/title. That's just my thoughts about it, though. Awesome video as always.

To me, visually, she came from the least interesting character to the one I would wait to see every episode (if I watch the show), and be disapointed ah the end because she didn't show up. She so fun, colorfull, the green spark and she really look like an alien housewife I love iiiit!!!

I really love the all out alien bug 50s housemaid aesthetic you went with. If the show had done the same, I feel she would have recieved more attention purely for the fact that she stands out amidst the others, but still feels like she belongs in that universe.

I love the colours here and the more bug elements, just kind of wish she was still more cute. But this is still better than the official redesigns

Niffty is my favourite character and I felt disappointed when I saw the official redesign, I really feel like your design does her justice as the other ones had literally nothing to do with bugs or aliens but yours manages to blend them perfectly.

I don’t HATE all the red in the main cast’s designs, if the creator really wanted to keep that in it wouldn’t be catastrophic, but I would recommend just switching some colors around. For exaple: Nifty- maybe more orange and lighter reds, like a coral color Husk- more grey in general, but also lighter grey. Black too Angel- pretty much ok, maybe a tad more pink? Vaggy- just bring back her old colors, grey and light pink were a great choice Alastor- maybe some brown because he’s a deer? Charlie- more cream and white

I find it interesting of a maid being a bug.

I think the reason she’s a cockroach in the original is because she’s obsessed with cleaning (just like cockroaches), but they DEFINITELY could have given her some visual elements to match. It’s like saying a character is a bear or frog hybrid because they fell asleep when it got cold

Niffty is my favorite character from HH, like, the others aren't that interesting, and seeing how f-ing plain the re-design is, just shows how little effort they put into it. Your design looks so much better, from the concept to the end result, even when editing it in the background of the original looks like it BELONGS there, and wasn't added as a .png picture

I was so sad when I saw Nifty get downgraded in the color department. No lie, I think Nifty’s pilot look is adorable and I hoped that parts of that outfit would get a nice makeover to make it even better and the oranges were perfect on her, but then the redesign happened and honestly, I’m kind of sick of seeing nothing but red on the character redesigns and this is coming from someone who likes two said characters with red in their color palette and loves the color red. It’s kinda the equivalent of eating nothing but your favorite food for months for me.

I knew you said the redesign would be way different but I wasn't imagining THIS different BUT I do really like it, definitely gives Nifty some uniqueness that was so rudely denied to her need me some more less red characters /lh

The hair isn't _exactly_ my favourite part of this redesign [I just really like her pink and yellow soft hair] but other than that I love this!! I love bug characters and hearing that she's a bug but doesn't look like it other than being small makes me upset- 8/10 redesign!

First off- I LOVE the Niffty redesign you did. It's really so vibrant and when I go back and look at the other redesigns you did, she stands out and has a unique look to her which is AMAZING. Each character in this line up looks unique to THEM, and that's what I strive for as a character designer and artist and writer as well! But secondly, theory cap moment, I am genuinely curious IF the point of that bright red pink in everyone's canon designs is to connect them to the hotel. I do definitely agree with you in the sense of Viv likes reds and pinks and uses them more. But I'm really curious if she is also in a way trying to tie them into the hotel? Or maybe the apple theme? Because all the apples are red. I wonder if the characters will have MORE casual outfits, like, alternative outfits, that have less of that pink on them. Honestly, I'd LOVE to see the other characters in the show have their own unique outfits that show their OWN main colour on them, and them Charlie is still stuck in that pinky-red colour, because its her family colour, and she'll kind of always be in the shadow of her father. I think I'm in the same boat though in being super disappointed with the canon designs. Because Viv CAN do other colours and do them WELL. She has in her past projects and she can do it again. The red just feels so limiting. I miss the old cast being as big as it was because they all brought something new to the table. I honestly hope we can see Mimzy and Crymini and Baxter again. Even though a big cast is hard to work with, it's not impossible. And I'd love to see a wider range of both personalities and looks.
