Just a chat about what I'm going to do with this build and the Aftermarket I'm going to throw at it.

I see the call of the Havoc became too much. 😆

Dear Nigel, A brief reminder on the aftermarket for the A-20 was most useful. The plan for building the cockpit in three variants is ambitious and will be most useful, (I suspect) to everyone who is considering buying this kit. I will tune in on the modifications! One point though- I am surprised that Douglas chose to name their aeroplane after the road that runs from London to Dover, but it's fair enough I suppose. Best regards, Z

Even more surprising that Harley Davidson named one of their motorcycles after me!!

After finishing it I think anyone who can come up with those canopy side parts and levers would also be a great add. Once you finish it, so much of what's in it is unseen ...but open canopy versions could look awesome if someone like airscale did a pro version of those parts. I added the three thin wires you see on those canopies used to pull the sunscreen over the pilots head so it has a bit more detail but you need the canopy framers, levers, and sunscreen to complete the look. And thanks for the shout out...evwrything i did on this came from watching your and others videos. Without the hours you guys put in, a LOT of us would be lost doing the detailed work.

Looking forward to seeing you utilise all this AM you've happily showed off, Nigel. I think once completed, this A-20 is going to have to be displayed in the Tower of London next to the Crown Jewels, when one bears in mind how much it's added to the cost of the base kit. You must have some very deep pockets. Are you going to insure it?🤭

So looking forward to you tackling this build, Nigel - though the amount of aftermarket would definitely terrify me, haha! May I ask if you can pass something on to 1ManArmy if you have a link with them? I understand they are stencil masks and have basic national insignia; however, I bought the set for the Kotare Spitfire and it also came with the codes for the markings in the box, which I didn't realise and if I had it would've saved me £10 getting them from elsewhere. It would be really helpful on Hannants and other websites they sell from if they showed a picture or something telling you exactly what the sheet looked like so you knew what markings comes in the set. I have my eye on the Tempest, Me262 and 109E sets but have absolutely no idea what codes these packs include. It isn't a massive criticism, it would just be very helpful as a customer to know exactly what their sets include, as the description is a little too vague!

@@NigelsModellingBench Thank you, Nigel! Would make a positive difference as £25+ is quite an investment for a one-off consumable such as masks! By the way, another sealed WNW Gotha G.IV has just gone up on eBay starting at a reasonable price for auction. Remember you mentioning it the other day :)

Love this kit. Too bad about the instrument panel being hidden, I wonder if the shape of the coaming is right? Could it be cut back some? I've already buttoned up the fuselage so it is what it is for me, would like to see a good solution for other builders. Just waiting on my "corrected" wheels from Eduard. Loving Tom Anyz stuff! Got the OneManArmy stencils, will be a first for me - good thing I watched all your videos on using them! Looking forward to your build videos!

Nigel, is the Border models Lancaster build dead now? Its been seven months since he last video. Its fine either way, but its hard for me to get interested in another new build that may also get suspended later. Thanks.

Hi Nigel, looks to be a super build! A thought about the nose gear. Instead of cutting off a leg to fit the wheel, why not replace the lugs that face inboard and cause the interference. You could drill for an axle, cut off the lugs on the inboard side, thus eliminating the interference. Now, just cut an axle, and fabricate two spacers to replace the ones cut off earlier. When it's time, just thread the axle through the spacer, the wheel, spacer and other fork. What do you think?
@NigelsModellingBench8 ай бұрын
Sorry, I think you misunderstood me..... You don't cut the leg off,. on the metal HKM nose gear it comes already "cut off". The Aerocraft leg has the lugs removed and includes spacers to slot into the wheel.

didn't the Boston come first?
@NigelsModellingBench8 ай бұрын
Hi James. The French designation DB-7 was first, then the British designation Boston 1 followed by the Boston 2 which became the Havoc.
