I started watching you a while back now and I am quite young. When I first started watching you I wasn’t very into horse and after a few months I started doing horse riding lessons and here I am now with a 16h thoroughbred all thanks to you! we love you esme!! ♥️♥️♥️

I love how Esme doesn't cut corners with their care, I mean having your horses at home relying on you for everything is so much work and it's great Esme shows that it's not all fun and riding, It's great to see a video like this showing how important it is to look after the horses legs and hooves as muddy fields are a nightmare when you're trying to avoid mud fever,

I love all of your horses and how Mickey calls for his haylage- so cute! I don't think One Of Us Is Lying is the best book for getting relaxed before bed. I ended up staying up all night to finish it lol

@@joetgmt1 No, because it's a book about a murder it's quite tense! It's a really good book if you want to read it, but not right before bed as you'll probably end up reading it in one sitting and staying up until 3am, lol.

At my yard we have 20 horses. I’d say 75% of them go for a wee once there is a new shavings bed. Not just joey who does it, I thought it was only our ponies

@@jannayore566 depends, most of our horses sleep standing so usually we don’t have to but the ones that sleep on the floor/ lying down we do!

My horse also less strait after I put new shavings in his stable. It's like he is claiming them as his own. Your horse are adorable and lucky to have you. My horse is same same age as Mickey and has all most the same quirks and personality.🐴

All the older horses seem to power walk too. I am in charge of night check at my stable and I usually hav ego brig in a 27 year old mare and she power walks and I sometimes have to run to keep up with her. Your horses are so cute!

So, when your horses pee in a pile of new shavings (I've only experienced this with male horses, specifically geldings) It's fully instinct, think of it as marking their territory. For instance, when my aunt got a new gelding he pooped in his stall one time and then never pooped in it again, he would go outside to poo instead. In the wild, when a mare, in a herd of mares protected by a stallion, pees the stallion will often pee in the exact same spot to mix the scent, signaling to other stallions that this mare belonged to him. So don't worry Esme, It's not just you ♥ Love you and the horses! 😊
