Hi, great video best info around on these units. I need some help with info on how to reset the odometer to zero. I use it to compliment my erratic fuel gauge. Thanks

Thank you for the vid it was very good. I have the fs 7 Lowrance 21 model and purchased cmaps revel . When I go to the shaded relief its there but I cant click on it. Its slightly shaded as if the cmaps don't support it. Do you think if i do a system upgrade that could fix it?

Did u buy the card from a store or did you download it? If you bought from the store you might need to update the card on the cmap website.

Do you really need the SD card at all. Doesn't Lowrance update Straight to the Unit without the card? I have ab Elite FS and updated my similar to what you demoed except without the SD card. I do that for each of my units, as I pull them off the boat after each outing while storing boat.

Do you need to leave SD card in after update to maintain update or is it safe to remove after the update?

You want to take the card out after the update otherwise it will keep trying to install the update everytime you turn the display back on.

Is it still possible to do update on hds live via wifi??? Or have they made it now only via computer/ sd card ?

Yes you can. You might need to insert a blank SD card into your display first but you can definitely do it over wifi.

Can I use the same card to update both bow and console units?

If they are both the same type of displays like they are both HDS Carbons or both Elite FS or whatever then absolutely you can.

First thing how you doing it in house , you need power plug to unit ?

I use a 7A, 12V lead acid battery. They sell them at Walmart for $20 in the camping area

Tho I technically connected two of them together in parallel to double my amperage. That way it runs the bigger screen displays without issue. I gurilla taped them together and use terminal connectors.
