I'm loving this game so far. I didn't know about holding down E to vacuum up a lot of drops. They also need to add from the X menu that R + Mouse Wheel will adjust height of items.

Survivor companions feel like they really need work 1. They don't really harvest unless you stand still and watch them. As soon as you move they try to follow you again. In the amount of time you stood still and watched them you could have probably done 2x the harvesting they did 2. They don't pick up what they harvested 3/4 of the time 3. They often harvest when you DON'T want them to because you paused to check your map :) 4. You have to be out and about for them to harvest. Why can't I be sitting in my house chilling/crafting and have them go harvest stuff while they wait? 5. Further mor why can't I place down blueprints for building and then have them intelligently go around my house and harvest the stuff needed for those? 6. Sometimes if they have the items for a blueprint they will place them and sometimes they won't. Can't figure out the pattern. On the same note sometimes they will go to containers and get the items and sometimes they won't?

Gave my Survivor the hammer (thinking as stated at 2:38 he would repair) and had to go take it away from him when he knocked a wall out!

The companions pick up resources left lying around, 1 at a time. This is very slow. There is also a second pause between each item picked up. If you move, they follow and that means they don't pick up what they harvest. The most useful thing about Companions is that they can carry several stacks of heavy items. Weight doesn't matter to them. Be careful what you give a companion. They try to put wood in campfires and any construction you pass. Even that T2 wood you were trying to farm. Do not trust your companion with high value wood or stone blocks. Ores are fairly safe. And of course you can fill your companion with common resources that you don't care if they dump it into a NPC's camp. Companions do not get or deposit stuff in containers, but they do in work stations that take fuel.

I seriously hope we get a dye system so we can dye our clothes, especially black dye. I also hope there will be a worn and torn variant of clothes. Hell, due to the time frame, I also hope we get armor as well. Especially fae stylized sets that can also be dyed. Just my preference in hats, but I would love to have wide brimmed hats that aren't like a sun-hats with flowers. Let ruffles poke out of the sleeves of coats too! I love the ruffles!! 😂

Loving the game so far - it's vibrant, wonderous and has the features to make this game stand out in the survival open world genre, so thank you for making Nightingale! Since it is currently in Early Access, I only ask to tech spike further on the UI/UX aspect of the game, to implement simplified menu navigation and so on. If it helps, there are some UI elements that the game Medieval Dynasty did well like inventory management, and another game like Icarus where they excel in building / crafting UI. It is just my feedback that I wanted to share, and I hope the team can revamp better than I stated above.

My 2 friends and I have been loving this game. We've played them all, but this one really is something special. Being able to share a realm together and have an online social hub with the dungeons is so damn cool.

Very important tips. Mastering them completely changes the feel of the game. One thing though: augmentation that buff crafted items should say so in the description, with a paragraph akin to minor realm card. Trial and error to build a spreadsheet isn't very fun.

@@petroandras So yeah there is no search bar for the inventory that I'm aware of, but there is in the crafting stations and the guidebook. So if for example you need to make wire and don't recall where it is crafted or what you need to make it, you can open the guidebook, search for wire, and then see that information. If you go to your smelter and want to make wire, the list isn't really that large (or mine isn't) but still at the top you will see a search bar if you want to use that. I agree the ability to search your inventory would be nice though! I also wish the inventory would still show item quantity when sorted by weight :(

Always carry sticks and crude fiber. Being able to set up a camp roll when you need to rest is vital for exploration. if you carry some rocks you'll be able to make the basic grass shelter as well. Also don't repair items until you get a warning. Right now it takes as much dust to repair a slightly damaged item as it does to repair a broken item. Hopefully that gets fixed in the future. If you ever need a lot of dust, you can go to the essence tab and convert essence into dust. T3 essence converts into 1,000 dust, and once you get into T3 you'll be able to collect dust quickly by doing certain repeatable events. That will make sense as long as you keep following the main quest.

The video mentions using the umbrella to glide and using a one-handed weapon's dash ability, but it does not make clear that these actually can be combined. This is particularly useful when trying to traverse from one cliff to another. With the umbrella and either the knife or scythe equipped, run up to the cliff and hit spacebar to jump. At the peak of your jump, hit the right mouse button to activate the weapon's dash ability, and then hit the spacebar again (or the F key) to active the umbrella's glide. This will give you additional distance and speed for your glide, helping you to traverse a gap you might otherwise fall short of.

I've really enjoyed this game so far. The landscapes are just beautiful and it's a lot of fun just exploring. Unfortunately because I work with computers I've recently developed a bit of tendinitis due to an increase in workload. I can't wait until my wrist is better enough to get back to playing.

That's because those are offhand items. scrolling the mouse wheel changes main hand.

Yeah it's clunky and not very intuitive for new players. If they want to maintain the separation of offhand slots, a modifier key + mousewheel scrolling would make sense and be a good QoL addition.

Added note about Augments .. I feel the Augment Slot limits are confuseing and not needed. It forces you to build 3 of the same workbences to build diffrent things, and make sure they are all far enough away from each other to not overlap. and I see allot of people complainging that the augment distance is to short. This would not be a issue if ALL of the benches could benifit from a augment that is placed. Just remove the augment slot limit. and remove the range limit for the augments ..

Traversal can actually be done much better. You can combine the umbrella with the one handed weapon, this works best for high altitudes: First jump into the air and then dash off the cliff, immediately glide umbrella, follow up again with cancelling glide and execute the dash action. Repeat this. Do keep in mind you will need some stamina to glide the rest of the way to avoid fall damage. This is the best mode of travel :)

If you want infinite of the first type of essence then you can just buy water bottles for 10 essence from essence trader in your home base realm, and extract them to 40 essence. After buying and extracting for 20 mins you will have over 100.000 essence. You are welcome.

I almost quit playing, because I got so annoyed picking up stuff one by one, before I accidentally discovered that you vacuum everything around you by holding E. This should be made clear in the tutorial first things!

Some people have to chill a bit jesus, its released in EA , the game does need alot of adjust and updates, but its a really good and decent game! Have seen so much more worse EA releases, tbh Nightingale deserved more patience and tolerance

So true! Not sure what many are on about below? Many games in last 6 months have been unplayable EA/full release? Nightingale- early access, unfinished parts, not enough variety yet and some bugs but at least it works when you want to play, looks beautiful and devs are hands on - respond, make videos and listen to us. Some must play Nightingale and expect full release level game and content - just chill and play when it is full release version. Great job devs and a lovely game!

There needs to be a better lfg option or something when in open realms. I’ve joined a few and would love to do challenges with people but can’t see them on the map or anything. Then the discord has no vc to group and play with new people.

Loving the game but that 350 item limit per realm (not per player or per building, per REALM) needs to go ASAP. our base is no longer a base, just somewhere to store resources and craft stuff. my opinion on the game lowered drastically when we hit that. No word from the devs on when its going to be removed or at the very least quadruppled. I fear it may not go.

Also you can have 100 buildings per REALM. Each with a 350 build limit(foundations, walls, ceilings

@@shawns4354wrong limit. There is 100 building limit. Each building has a 300 structure limit (the one you have mistaken for the 350 limit) each REALM has a 350 item limit (tables, doors, lights, crafting stations, beds, plant pots/plots, storage, etc)

This game has never been updated, it has many shortcomings. The places in the game are very empty, there are very few enemies, it is a constant cave and entering the places in the towers becomes boring after a few minutes because they are all the same. 1- Uncrafted, unsold weapons, runes and clothes will drop from the elites and bosses you add to the world. 2- Special runes can be added to the umbrella. jump twice. You must runes this feature. jump higher longer flight like jumping further. 3- bigger and stronger puzzles. 4- Weight and slot upgradeable runes in the bag. 5- The armor and weaponcolor should consist of 6 colors, not 4 colors white, green, blue, purple, yellow and red. 6- Do not allow what server participants can do in our world. full authority - can do anything. middle authority - can't break things, but can build houses. low authority - they can use production tables. No authority - they can just play with us. 7.Features for safes Only the homeowner can open it. The host and guests can open it. and more.

Great Game but End Game Boss don't give enough reward, we need lvl 100+ Boss (diff difficulty) portal on the MP HUB because when you get 200+ item level, it become too easy (+ too repetitive) i'm bored rn (did Jana too much time). Time to farm less and explore more i guess. Need more backpack slot, i can transport 400+ Kg but i'm quickly limited in term of slots while farming or exploring. Also why some chest have 50 / 55 slot it's not enough compared to the price to build them (1 Gold ingot for a 55 slot chest while the first chest have 40... and cost almost nothing). I hope FSR 3 will come back soon whithout issues, my 5 years old RX 5700 XT is suffering (damn my game don't look like in the video at all xD).

I warned a few friends that there wasn't much hand-holding in this game. Most stuff can be learned by the keybinds section. But I still learned things from others that I wouldn't have, such as the holding E.

At first I was excited, but after playing 15 hours, it is all the same: you go to location -> tower -> open points of interest -> clear all of them. Actually there are no exploring mechanics, may be only the first time you there. And bioms, they are very beautiful, but it is just different skin, they are same in their core. There is nothing unique. Of course I realise that at this stage you wont change mechanics.

Damn loved the first few hours. Started a Map with my GF and we had a blast... but as soon as we got into the Quest World with those Fae Ruins.. we couldnt go back to our Main Forest Map. The portal doesnt Spawn.. ive read that only making a new character fixes that problem... But that would erase our hours of playing and Building. Completely Game breaking bug. I might play it again in the Future, but this bug destroyed everything for me. Sadly i cant refund anymore.

You can return to your estate cairn in your respite realm from anywhere. Open your map, and click the Return to respite button in the bottom left.

Yeah, what the above person said. Press "M" to open your map and hit the "Return to Respite" button on the right-hand side of your UI. You can do this from anywhere.

Are you sure you gave them a hammer and not a maul? I have to ask...

@@reijishian2593 fair question but yes. you can test this, give an npc a hammer damage a chest and wait for the npc to "repair" it. youll see he damages it instead despite doing a repair motion. We didnt notice this until we upgraded his hammer to uncommon (probably was doing too little damage to be noticable before)

Can anyone tell me if there are any abilities or powers in this game? In the trailer the character appeared using powers but so far I haven't seen anyone using magic.

So far I've been able to enchant weapons with a heal/restoration or a shockwave/knock back. Equip the weapon and push 'r' to draw the spell out

There are but they are tied to your wep/tool. I don't know if they will ever add full on magic for just straight casting like a mage if thats what you are asking, but its super possible.

They're infusions. You craft them at the enchanters table then apply them to gear. As of right now you can't play as a MAGE, so think more enchantment style effects rather than "SPELLS"

There’s a kind of infusion to your hand held equipment that are like spells. The one in the video was Recovery but there are many others like a one that makes all your attacks AOE for a certain amount of swings, or one that summons a Bramble wall to give you some cover from enemies.
