They're two different railways. One of the lights is for one of the railways' track, the other one is for the other's.

Wait, I am confused. Why was their a loud mechanicle bell ringing first with only the lower set of lights flashing for the first train, then for the second train both sets of lights flashed and their was an electrical bell.

rail crossings in japan have much longer warning time than the one in the north america.

They are different railroads. Still makes no sense. Same signal and bell should be used for both.

Stupid question maybe... but why does the bell gets actvivated the first time, and does the electronica bell gets activated the second time? Does it has to do something with the direction the train is coming from?

The double lights are a really good idea. Eliminates the problem of someone starting across after the first train and getting hit by the second train. Notice also that the arms cover the entire roadway, making it almost impossible for someone to drive around. 100% safer then US railroad crossings. Almost fail-proof.

The problem with all lanes gated is no way to escape if trapped. In a panic, some drivers may be afraid to break through a gate!! At least one could easily force through these flimsy gates. The gates should have lights for better visibility at night. Their LED lamps are better than ours!

The people who film these, they are kinda like collectors, and are fans of public transport and the perfectness of it. The purpose of this video is to show the fans, how this railroad crossing is different from others and how its working, but not to have 2 million views from people that have no interest in this.

Funny that they have two signals, one for each railroad. Why would it matter whose train is coming and about to kill whomever is on the track? Are those sensors aimed across the road to detect someone stuck on the tracks?
